Oh, and the SO, the youngest child and I went to see the Last Jedi (It was.. okay. Not the best SW movie but not the worst. Beige Curtains.). I’ll probably take the kiddos to see Pitch Perfect 3 this week.

I’ve been watching Christmas Movies interspersed with episodes of Season 1 Wynonna Earp.

I watched through all 8 seasons of Gilmore Girls. Not sure why I didn’t watch it the first time around, as it was a show that interested me, but I think either a) I had no cable, b) it conflicted with something I already watched, c) it conflicted with my work schedule, or d) I just could never remember when it was on.

LCBO’s operate on a scale from large opulent, two story glass buildings to converted mobile homes and the occasional kiosk in a gas station.

Back in the days when i could drink without fear of mucking up my INR levels, for me it was Winter=Wine or Rye, Spring/Fall=Beer or Wine. Summer=Cider.

{Spoilers, maybe?}

Bart was probably my favorite character.

I completely agree with you on representation. I also like how there’s an implicity/occasionally explicit romantic relationship between Todd and Farrah, but it’s treated as completely incidental to the plot, whereas most shows would try to focus in on that. It’s a very different way to treat an on-screen

I felt the same way.. Season one was a series of odd occurences that almost (short of shark-possessed kittens) seemed plausible. The idea of a mini-dimension inside a house seemed on track with that, but some stuff (like Suzie Frickin’ Boreton.. god I hated her) was way, way over the top and kind of lost me.

If the dogs could walk into the vet and communicate their desire to have their tails and ears docked, I’d say you have an argument here. But they can’t.

I’m reading The Cider House Rules this month.

That’s my favorite of all his books. I’ve probably read it about 20 times.

Have you read any Hugh MacLennan? He’s one of my favorites.

The Road to Wigan Pier is worth a read as well.

I read the Book Thief, after getting a copy for my birthday 2-3 years ago (when it was still fairly newish, anyway).

I’ve made two attempts at the Sound and the Fury, and I still can’t follow it.

Actually, finding out she was on Hannibal was what put Hannibal on my ‘get around to watching this list’.

I’ve watched two seasons of flaked and I’m still unsure how I feel about it.

X Company (CBC) had its’ third and final season back at the beginning of the year, and I cannot describe enough how much I loved this show. It’s going to be airing in the US next year on Ovation, so if you’re into WW2 period pieces, make a point of watching. It’s definitely worth checking out. Notably, it includes

Being someone who is only Meh about Star Trek type shows, and someone who does not particularly like Seth Macfarlane, I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy the Orville.
