I hated Holden for that suggestion because it came across to me like “Well, you had a threesome with these two guys, which I am totally freaked out about. So it’s only fair you should have a threesome with me and my pal, then I won’t be insecure about it. Problem solved.”

I’m pretty sure Gus Pike was at the center of many a Canadian adolescent sexual awakening.

X Company!!

I dunno. I’d still happily see Chad Kroeger punched in the face. He reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law.

Shorter those guys - “Why would anyone spend time with a woman for reasons beyond sex or familial obligation?”

Don’t forget Mary Steenburgen as well.

He’s been on the 100 this season.

So, my question is.. does anything that takes place in the past and is not a fantasy setting count as a ‘Period’ piece, or does that just refer to certain time periods (Renaissance, Victorian, Medieval, etc?)

Ohhh.. that sounds awesome!

I’m LOVING Outlander, and I can’t wait for it to come back.

Anyone watching The Last Kingdom? Season two just started on BBC2 and Netflix. Worth a watch, if only for Alexander Dreymon’s “Chris Cornell in the early 90s” hotness.

How does anyone look at a sex toy that is bluetooth enabled and go “Oh, yeah, nothing could go wrong here??”

Yeah, it’d be cool if our PM would follow suit.

HOW CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A BROWNIE IF YOUR UNIFORM IS NOT FREAKING BROWN???

Incidentally, Scouts Canada is gender-inclusive now... we don’t really have ‘Boy Scouts’ anymore.

Well.. this ‘outfit’ has been around for 107 years. (also, it’s still cookies. Wonderful but ridiculously overpriced chocolate and vanilla cream cookies).

I actually was surprised by how much I enjoyed her scenes with Jess. They’re a pretty good foil, and I think it added some depth to the weird Nick/Regan/Jess thing.. Because Jess actually likes Regan, but it’s pretty obvious she’s not the right person for Nick.

All season I’ve kind of gotten the feeling that they were gearing up for the end, with all the characters kind of ‘growing up’. I’m still anticipating a Nick/Jess reintegration though.

I kind of agree with this. If you want your kids to appreciate all you do for them.. stop doing it. They’ll come to appreciate when they can’t take it for granted.

I had to explain to my kid the other day that while it seems like most of her friends parents have a lot of money, it’s likely that what they have is a lot of debt. That may have been the case with Donna’s parents.
