Andrea Martin is the definition of an american treasure. Perhaps one of my favorite comedy actresses of all time.

Last year I said that this show had about the greatest potential out there. Great stars. Good characters that are designed to play off each other. An excellent setting. It was just missing that something. Tina Fey isn’t that something, she won’t be there long. This is pretty close to the show I was hoping it would…
It blows me away how she was exactly right for “real” Eleanor, and now she’s exactly right for “underutilized,” attention-seeking Vicky.
I’m so glad we’re getting more Vicky/Tiya Sircar this season. And no line has ever been more perfectly suited to a character than “Actually, Michael, I’d like to SING a few words.”
After the insanely ambitious last episode, it was inevitable that this would be a quieter installment. And it worked - we probably needed something like this - and we finally got to see how Tahani died.
Are we still using “doesn’t own a TV” as shorthand for douchey intellectual snob who looks down on everyone? It’s 2017. You don’t need a TV to watch TV, and haven’t for sometime. You can watch critically lauded prestige dramas made by serious auteurs on your phone.
Incorrect. I hate most “reality shows” but this one can be fun, and truly is closer to being a game show than a “reality show” — and if it were scripted, the most interesting people wouldn’t sometimes get voted out earliest. It’s truly unpredictable. Sometimes the contestants who seem the most promising, or who come…
Actually I thought it was rather an on-point critique of MRAs, that their “philosophy” is much less about any committed social ethos, than it is about a bunch of guys butt-hurt over getting rejected by women.
Lauren appeared on screen in a camp shot and I thought “Who the heck is that? Did a crew member accidently walk into the shot?” I swear they didn’t show her at all from last episode all the way up until that moment.
I feel conflicted. On the one hand, I agree with everything you said. On the other, I died laughing at “Excuse me. I’ll have a vodka soda...and no, I’m not trying to rape you”. Maybe we’ll get more him down the line sometime and they’ll reveal it was just a bad time for him as he’s trying to find himself or something
Hey everybody who was cheering Peter Thiel on against Gawker: Congratulations! This is exactly what you wanted! Weinstein even hired Theil’s lawyers! Betcha can’t wait until that sleazy New York Times finally gets what’s coming to it for *squints at index card* reporting on matters of public interest.
But he DOES have powers! A bunch of guns which have the power to turn an insecure paranoiac into The Bringer of Death! And the wonderful thing is, unlike Green Lantern’s ring, or Thor’s hammer, EVERYONE can have these powers, even if they’re the most unworthy person in the country. They just have to go to a gun show…
Hey they could have used this opportunity to promote the Runaways show.
A terrible society that does not have the licensing rights to Harry Potter or other beloved characters.
Besides, if I wanted franchise fan service I’d read Ready Player One.
What kind of terrible society makes all these robotic theme parks set in the past, but does nothing cool like Harry Potter world, or some sort of Duelist Kingdom-type card game tournament?
There’s something special about the movie-going experience that justifies it to me. Transformers: The Animated Movie wouldn’t have been special if it had just been 3 episodes. The Simpsons Movie played really well in a crowded theater. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters pushed the boundaries of art…
I don’t get the need to complain about it. At least this pretty much secures its place on Fox for the next four years.
The movie is 100% full frontal Bob and Gene.
As long as we don’t see Gene’s dick. Bart’s was bad enough.
I feel like this show is under the radar enough that there’s no pressure to make a movie, and one would only get made if they actually had an idea that would only work as a movie. I’m excited for this.
