AbrahanFish here is defending every men who killed a woman and denies domestic violence in all threads, I wonder why, such a mystery. If mentally ill people are problem and are killing, where are millions of mentally ill, undiagnosed women killing around partners, raping men and harassing them on the street. How come

My first thought - they’re psych meds and her not taking them led to her being missing.

Yeah, what ever happened to getting a sitter, or just not going to a restaurant if you can’t get one, until your children are old enough to act appropriately? Because you chose to bring your screaming brat to a restaurant does not mean that other diners who have well-behaved children, or have no children, or did not

Women Who Kill - one of my faves.

There’s still this belief that many people are found not guilty by reason of insanity, when in fact it’s very rare. So mental illness is seen as an excuse.

The way we deal with the problem of mental illness in our country is by destigmatizing and treating it. We stop only talking about mental illness in the context of violence — because the vast majority of mentally ill people are not violent. I have no idea. But I’ve lost countless Sundays to sitting on the couch and watching every damn “Wives With Knives” or “Killer Babies”..doesn’t matter. If it’s on the ID Network..I’ll probably watch it. Same with Oxygen’s “Snapped” (my MIL loves that series).

My other go to why the fuck are you watching this?

People will really say anything to excuse killers.

I think it was both. She was a woman murdered by her partner, but religion played a part as well. Exorcism is a brutal, barbaric, and backwards practice that has no place in modern society and if stories like this help to bring about change than that is a good thing - in the same way that this story can bring

Abused women frequently go back to their abusers. They know how to get in our heads. You always hope they change. Sad truth.

I don’t have the training to deal with that level of self-hate and utter stupidity

I’m still in rage-filled denial about Kraft Mac and Cheese no longer being orange.

I tasted a pumpkin spice latte once. I managed to not spit it out onto the shoes of the taste-offering barrista. Barely.

Can’t unsee.

Cosmo quiz says I’m ‘really quite feminist’.

I think websites like this are great. Like it or not, people of all stripes get different cosmetic procedures. And, like it or not, there are a lot of sketchy doctors doing less than quality work out there. Yes, you can check with the medical board and look at their referral photos, but that only gets you so far.

Hear, hear! Velvet Goldmine? Safe? Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story? Yes, please.
