I think the failure is to take the bare-bones events from the book and flesh them out with characters and scenes that allow more differences in tone.

Bronn was in Season 1. So was Syrio Forel, who served much the same role that the characters I listed in my post play in later seasons — entertaining non-royal characters and genuinely good people.

There’s already a decent bit of pop culture already on Jeopardy.  I mean not to slam pop culture aficionados (after all, I am posting on an entertainment website, so I kind of am one) but this really reads like Prime is just doing “Jeopardy: Easy Mode!”

They bring it back from time to time. Usually the term “celebrity” really gets stretched to include C-listers or folks like various news or sports commentators the same way any other game show (or reality show) with “celebrity” in the title does. So you’re never gonna see an A-lister there... or at least I sure

If I recall correctly, more than a few people here thought LaVar felt a bit flat during his time as guest host, but I’d still like to see him get a shot at a full-time gig like this if he’d be up for it. Also, saying that Bialik “stepped away” seems a bit euphemistic:

Ben Platt was an okay decision, but the make-up/special effects, and most importantly, the wig, just made him look like play-doh.

GoT had more fun characters because the source material was more fleshed out with them. HotD’s source material is basically a historical reference manual. Now that doesn’t prevent the people involved with the show from venturing off the source material path and adding whatever they see fit, but I’m just saying that’s

I watched all of season 1, and expect to watch all of season 2. But I can’t for the life of me understand how much this show has missed what made Game of Thrones appealing.

I once saw a comment that Jane Lynch is basically the acting equivalent of AC/DC. Because AC/DC has one type of song but they completely crush it every time they play it.

The first three seasons are generally regarded as the high point of the show from those who watched it. But once it’s split up between New York and Lima it hit and miss up till the end. Those last three are quite a rollercoaster of hating it and still loving it like no other show ever. But I for one was always there

Jane Lynch, in a career-best performance”.

What was the most embarrassing moment ever to happen on Glee?”

The best comment I’ve seen anybody make about this is “Roger Corman’s funeral will be on time, under budget, and have enough extra footage for three more funerals.”

I like how Community’s constant grousing about Glee was entirely appropriate at the time—Glee was a mega-hit!—but on rewatches it just feels confusing at best, like kicking a puppy at worst.

The show was on a par with Heroes in how it burned so brightly and burned out so fast.

When Glee was satire it was really funny. Even though I generally hate musicals I convinced my Broadway loving wife to watch it. But then at some point they decided to play things straight and they would be the show that would be able to save every bullied kid out there and it got really stupid. I checked out after a

When Ryan Murphy makes a new show it’s usually really good for one or two seasons. Then he gets bored with it and tries his best to get fired.

We needed more satire glee like the first 13

Glee was only truly self-aware for the first 13 episodes. It went downhill extremely quickly after that.

Earlier this month, former Jeopardy! co-host Mayim Bialik announced that ‘Sony has informed me’ that she would no longer be hosting the syndicated version of the stalwart trivia competition...one doesn’t need to read too far into her use of passive voice to glean that this departure was not her choice.”
