Were we given any reason to believe that his military career was permanent? He's still a teenager in DS9. Heck, there's countries in the world (Israel and Switzerland for two, if I recall correctly) where almost every young adult serves in the military.

Instead of reunion specials we're getting reunion miniseries now. Not sure what that says about the state of television, but it's interesting.

read that as "JK Rowling". Didn't know she could drum.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik… Bakshi made a cartoon of the first half of the Lord of the Rings, but never finished it. (Rankin-Bass did a sort-of sequel with The Return of the King, but the movies don't quite line up.)

I'm with you. HIMYM's finale wasn't perfect, but it was fine. Much more enjoyable than listening to the entire Internet complain about it for months.

They're not the same types of podcasts, though. Serial is really more like a radio show that's being posted online, not your typical "a bunch of people sit in a room and chat" kind of podcast.

I wonder what Lauren Faust would do with the Care Bears, after her work on My Little Pony.

Apparently it's the house rules that make Monopoly boring. Anything that injects money into the game, like Free Parking, will just make the game longer by postponing bankruptcy. Oh, that's supposed to be Ryan? In my head I was rhyming it with Leon.

Kudos to the headline writer. :)

That was certainly my impression: Sheridan probably felt a great relief when he saw the guy alive, and that it probably strengthened him for what came next. But I was able to write it off as "the interrogators made a mistake" rather than "the writers made a mistake".

Libby, this article was written before the final episode aired, right? I'd love to have a followup once you've seen the finale. :)

The thing about a big family is that, by the time the youngest children are born, the oldest children are usually old enough to serve as babysitters, or can otherwise help around the house. I suspect that going from 9 children to 10, or even from 3 to 4, isn't nearly as hard as going from 1 to 2 (let alone 0 to 1).

I think it's intended to sound funny: a joke that turned into a cliché.

Maybe "all" doesn't mean "all that you want" or "all that makes you happy", but "all that is possible to have".
