Ugh. Terrible parenting and annoying kids drive me up the wall. I see soooooooooo many little terrors that act just like the kid you describe and the parents always say "Oh s/he never does this! S/he is usually so shy and quiet!"

I do, however, hate parents like that. I had a friend's nephew once grab my kid's head and bang it against the wall so hard there was an immediate huge lump. They were about four. The mother's comment? Oh, you know, it's easier to bring up girls, boys just have that kind of energy!y
This has nothing to do with the discussion, but you left out an "a" in "running around the house like bull,..." and I started to read the entire comment with a Russian accent, which made it 10x's better. BUT kids like that piss me off, I wish it weren't taboo to punish other peoples kids. Because you know if you try…
I was hit as well, and even was taught to punch when I had a bully. However, as I have been educated as an adult I've realized how wrong it was. I turned out ok, but not because of the hitting/spanking. I turned out ok because I learned appropriate coping techniques that don't involve physical violence through therapy.
4 1/2 is a lot different than a young three and especially two-year-old. At 4 1/2 there should be firm and consistent consequences for that type of behavior.
Ugh, I have seen the exact same behavior, and it baffles me that the parents who will not discipline a child who is lighting the couch on fire are the exact same parents who are obsessed with talking about how adorable said child is.
Alana's an 8 year old reality TV star. I'm not sure we should be critiquing her behavior as much as the adults around her.
I think it's time the government seriously consider revoking our Second Amendment rights because these motherfuckers don't deserve it.
I have to ride a subway to go home and shower so I liberally apply absorbent powder all over myself. It gets the sweat out and leaves me smelling like flowers so at least I don't stank the whole 6 train up.
Thank you, I agree wholeheartedly. I will not be out & about after any workout, ever. Ughhhhhh.
awww so cute. My dad is an academic. For the last decade or so he has been a tenured professor and makes a good salary, but when I was growing up he was still a PhD student and a postdoc, so money was always tight, which is actually the reason I got a bubble bath solution. My parents couldn't afford the Little Mermaid…
I agree that they should return the dog to the guy, but cut it out with the HE'S OVERSEAS! IN THE MILITARY! SERVING FOR OUR COUNTRY!
I worked at a zoo for a few years and they rescued a few wolves from a roadside zoo-type situation. One of the females was so scrawny they didn't realize she was pregnant until she had two pups, and she was too skinny to produce milk, so we hand-raised them (they went back and lived with their mama when they got…
I get off work at 4pm. Each vm is timestamped between 3:57 and 3:59pm.
I've found that switching to Sprint has really helped me disconnect from technology. I have a reliable data connection about 2/3 of the time, at most. haha
Those were dresses I'd get with my tutoring money. They were like $35 each. In 1990.
