Not what he said.
Not what he said.
She has a child’s understanding of the larger systems in play, that much has always been obvious.
Old-fashioned quote, since formatting tools (and other features) of the former Kinja sites remain broken. I first reported this fact three months ago, yet they remain broken. Please ask the programmers again to fix this problem.
Fuck open floor plans. Your kids can take a breath without you watching over them, I promise. You can also go without seeing the TV at all times (I say this as a devout TV watcher).
That’s about as smart as bypassing the seat switches on riding lawn mowers and the ones for garage door openers. It only takes that one time...
I finally test drove one for funzies after always hearing about how slow it was.. so I was prepared for it... it still surprised me by how slow it was.
1. It costs too much for what you get. My GTI cost me $21k out the door and, I would argue, is a better car in nearly every way.
Look I like consumer electronics and anime as much as the next girl, and Japan definitely did not deserve a pair of a-bombs dropped on them, but what they did in Manchuria and the Pacific after WW1 wrapped up (the one in which they were our allies, or part of the allies at least) was a special kind of evil that not…
Japan’s legal strategy is to ensure its conviction rates remain high by trying to torture people, pre trial, into taking a guilty plea just to make it stop. Then the “trial” is just them confessing and explaining how the police did such a wonderful job in investigating the crime. Their pre trial detention rates and…
It’s because identity politics are easy.. Regardless of which side of an issue you’re on, it’s less effort to paint everyone who doesn’t agree 100% with you as the enemy.
I had a bigger problem letting go of the fact that they got pregnant. Yes, I know people have needs but if there was ever a time to get a little adventurous sexually, the time when aliens will eat whatever screaming offspring you produce with your vanilla missionary love making is it. Pay some attentions to the…
Depends on the income. If you make $115K a year $4500 isn’t much.
If you make $22K then it is all the money in the world.
My understanding of the Japanese legal system is that the prosecutors are more selective in the cases they choose to prosecute.
In other words, the prosecutors are screening out the questionable cases and only bringing the strongest cases to trial.
“(the kids play board games with felt and cloth...yet use real dice that are noisy as fuck? Fuzzy dice aren’t things?”
If you’re so fucking incapable of suspending this much disbelief then you should stop watching movies.
Was just going to say the same...
I feel like if there was ever a Platonic ideal of “You can be correct and still be an asshole,” it’s this situation.
I don’t know the details of Ghosn’s case, but I will say this: Japan has a 99.9% conviction rate. Their justice system has flaws that I can’t quite support. When he says it’s a rigged justice system, he’s not wrong. Getting a fair trial, by American standards at least, is impossible in Japan.
Tough, but correct.
Yet another David Tracy article where we get to see that he continues not to learn how to “adult”. For someone with all sorts of offroading experience, I’m not sure he’d even be welcome in our off road club.
