I have a friend who works for GM. He’s working with the their diesel 1/2 ton test fleets. He was telling me that they are averaging 28-30 MPG mixed driving. This is anecdotal I know, and who knows what it will be on the full production model. If that holds true though, that it definitely some incentive over the

Or even just the old philosophy, never go alone. If you have two vehicles on the trail, and one gets stuck beyond your capability to get out, you aren’t stranded.

At $24k I definitely agree the Jeep is the better bargain. TBH even at $15k the jeep may still be the better bargain, given how much extra you get for the money. Also in many states you can’t plate a Mahindra. I was just pointing it out because I’ve looked at the Mahindras locally and they were around $16k give or

Base Roxor is $15k, most expensive is $19k. The cheapest leftover 2018 Jeep I’ve seen anywhere is like $24k. Not saying the extra $5k isn’t worth it for all the extra you get from the actual jeep (it probably is). But there is more than a 1k difference in price.

It would definitely be prohibitive for a lot of buyers. I removed the backseat from my TJ and never put it back in until I sold it. I know among my Jeep friends that is a fairly common thing.  I would definitely buy one if I were in the market. I think there is a niche there for offroaders and young people without

99% of the time I would agree with your assessment. In this case though, I think there may actually be buyers for a single cab jeep. Two door wrangler still sell in decent numbers. That makes me think there may be a market for a single cab jeep.

I agree with everything you say, and do my best to keep my dog from licking dirty plates. However, I do not understand the implication in this article that the plates somehow won’t be clean after being run through the dishwasher.

Listen, if I want to clear a 3x3 square off of my windshield and play “tank commander” on my way into work it’s none of your business.

I just want them to bring back lava sauce.

I think they are also banking on the idea of people not dining alone. Most people like to have company while they eat. So it’s reasonable to believe that the person with the pass will regularly bring other people in with them that do not have the pass.

Exactly, and on top of that these items should last longer than 10K. Replace the brakes and belts before the trip and they will last well past the 10k miles.

“I guess that’s pretty much the same reason David hikes from Michigan to Utah every year to wheel some clapped-out crap can Jeep on the slickrock of Moab.”

Either you are driving something with very soft performance tires or your driving style is causing you to only get 20k out of tires. Most tires on average daily drivers will get 40-50k miles.

You’re not wrong about how painless it is to drop the cradle. The one nice thing about doing it in the car though, is not having to deal with the A/C and not having to bleed the power steering.

So when we gonna do Radwood Detroit?

I’ve made a ton of money skipping the “remove engine” step on the traverse/acadia/outlook/enclave and doing them in the car. Enormous pain in the ass the first time. Once you figure it out though, easy money.

Everyone has to raise their kids as they see fit. Missing a week of school once a year doesn’t seem terrible IMO. I know it didn’t really have a negative impact on me. I did have a few teachers who seemed to take it poorly though. Almost like they were offended I was missing a week of their class. Oh well.

Maybe times have changed, but I remember missing school for family vacations. It didn’t really have a negative impact on me. I don’t really see kids stopping someone from having fall vacations.

Sure, maybe the manufacturer is lying about the emissions. That’s a problem to be taken up with the manufacturer though. If the manufacturer lies about the emissions of the vehicle, how is the owner of said vehicle supposed to rectify that? In your scenario, the manufacturer lies about the emission, the owner goes in
