Damn, I was hoping JJ would be divorced from the Star Trek franchise.

Keep JJ and the 9-11 truther Orci as far away from that Star Trek movie as they can. Wish they could have given Justin Lin another shot, but at least they have a good writer on board.

“Disorder” is about awakening the Jedi to the fact that its systems fail the Knights, Masters, and Padawans it intends to serve.

Star Wars was originally based on tried and true mythical tropes that have endured through our collective unconscious for thousands and thousands and thousands of years for a reason.

The Sith Warrior story has good bits, no question. It’s a glorious power fantasy with a strong villain (...well, if only they hadn’t used Male Body Type 4 for it), it’s hardly a bad story.

This is basically the problem with how the Jedi Order tends to be written by these edgelord assholes:

I agree. I’m no fan of the Jedi Order, but not because “they’re just as bad as the Sith they fight”, but instead because I find a lot of their teachings to be flawed. Burying your emotions is not healthy, and more often than not is the number 1 cause for a Jedi to “fall to the dark”. Because they’re not taught how to

The rape victim consented to an invasive procedure to obtain samples that can be analyzed to obtain a DNA profile of her assailant. She did not consent to having her own DNA profile sampled and entered into the police database to be used for whatever purpose the police decide to put it to. The rape victim is not

They don’t even read the first half of the 2nd Amendment.

Your bad take completely ignores the absolute rights of people. In this particular case a woman that was sexually assaulted and her DNA which was sampled was ostensibly taken for the purpose of helping her. Your bad take also ignores the very real chilling effect this practice would have on sexual assault victims. So

You can fuck right out of here with that shit.

Because cops firmly believe, everyone is a criminal they need to catch.

IMO, all this great art from the sequel trilogy absolutely doesn’t belong in any sort of trash.

Yeah, this is less of a gaming industry issue and more of an Asian culture issue. Western games have evolved significantly when it comes to female representation. Eastern games... not so much.

As far as the gaming industry has come in regards to gender representation (and I think anyone who compares first gen Lara Croft to first gen Aloy can see there has been “some” progress over the years) this kind of thing shows just how much further there is to go.

Reminds me of Konami trying to explain Quiet from MGSV as “a serious story choice but also for cosplay opportunities”

Granted she put all that armor on to protect herself from her devs’ bosses.

The part that got me most, was when Zack described creating his female character, only to find the options selected were replaced with booty shorts and high heels as soon as the game starts. The “sashay away” walk cycle video kind of cemented it, for me: this game appears to be made for the 13 year old male gaze. Ugh.

Sooo.. what are capcom like for shutting down mods and fan productions? Cos as cool as this looks, I always assume the worst with IP lawyers waiting in the undergrowth.
