Unexpected news. The book was a beautiful and moving read — I hope the adaptation does it justice.

How the mighty have fallen. What used to be a bastion of original ideas has now become another sycophant for empty nostalgia.

While the infrastructure clearly hasn’t moved to new servers yet, Gizmodo was sold last week.

Ah yes, the problem with social media all along is people online have been too restrained by shame and humility

right? i see no reason to hate on this. he’s a great actor, and he loves science fiction — and CLASSIC SciFi, no less — like almost no other famous person i can think of. First Tig Notaro had a minor role in Discovery, and now this? i’m over the moon.

Three of the most famous people in Hollywood have virtually the exact same thing written in their calendars, every single day:
Steven Spielberg... Don’t Let Them Reboot Jaws
Robert Zemeckis... Don’t Let Them Reboot Back To The Future

How many Stanley nickels is a Snyderbuck worth?

Why is Zack Snyder even a thing?

It’s possible that Netflix’s deal was for a PG-13 space opera movie of a certain length, and Synder blew everything up too much that they had to chop it down.

Historians are going to call this era in history: “The Big Rich Man Baby Era”

“If Apple does this thing that I don’t like, I guess I’ll just have to invent my own smartphone.”

Looking forward to 3 years from now when Discovery sells off Warner Bro’s. chopped up remains to Amazon and Disney.

I really loved Warner Archive. Then it became FilmStruck, but ditched the classic TV portion (I wasn’t finished watching Dr. Kildare!).

Then they killed Filmstruck, and Criterion is just too darn expensive for what it has.

Discovery+ has best in class performance, and consumer ratings, but more limited features.”
