I always buy physical media of stuff I love. Sad part is part two of season one isn’t even ON physical media yet.

The deleted scene of Gump pulling a mental ability Keyser Soze? Straightening his walk, vocabulary and speaking pattern as he walks into the sunset?

Especially when it seems like Trek is the only thing anyone watches on Paramount+ anyway.

Why?

I was 10 when Gump came out, I definitely fell for the hype machine of Oscar winning/likable megastar/romanticized American history and cringe intellectual disability on-screen representation. But dang it, I still tear up from Sally Field’s passing scene with Forrest.

At least they're encouraging newer generations to pirate shows.

It says a lot about our fucked up tax laws that it is cheaper for companies to make a show like this or Snowpiercer or Batwoman and never release it than it is to just release it. Especially when we are in the middle of a writers strike and the pool of new content has to be drying up.

I remember when streaming really kicked in and everyone was all, “Why are you still buying DVDs?!”

From Variety: “Those on the show will complete post-production on Season 2 and then CBS Studios will be free to shop it to other outlets."

And keep a rip of them stored locally and in the cloud.

Even if that is true, the plan is TERRIBLE. Lets let our sworn enemies run everything for 1000 years that then we get say 25!

All of those ideas about the sith vs jedi are really poorly thought out.

Or one of those cyber rooms homeless people in Japan rent for the night.

I suppose the solution then is that no one will like AI “art” so it’ll go away on its own and be relegated to writing instructions or bland copy. That said, I see a through-line between sampling someone else’s music or using presets on a software synth or effects plug-in and developing a skill for prompting AI to

He also mentioned that since they’ve been doing deep sea excursions (I think he dated back to the 60's?) there have been zero fatalities — until now. That’s a pretty astounding track record, that this negligent “expedition” now undermines.

the DCEU is dead. thats what the #Snyderverse was officially called. The Flash and the upcoming Aquaman movies are just the last vestiges of it because they were filmed before Gunn was hired.

This is what a professionally built submarine looks like.

Or mom! That was one of a passel of rumors from (I think) Cinefantastique in that time period.

Another rumor was that the stormtroopers would be revealed to all be clones of Boba Fett.  Sic transit the rumor mill:  hit or miss.

Back in ‘77-80 the big rumor was that Boba Fett (revealed in the holiday special and promised to be in Empire) was going to be Luke’s long lost dad.

My rule of thumb for tjis kind of thing as always been “ If it!s sound exactly like something a fan came up in a commemt section based on existing material, it’s probably false.”
