I’m reminded of Martin Starr, who was given a no lines/no name part in 2008's Incredible Hulk. He’s just some student in a computer lab (initially credited as Amadeus Cho, which is a whole other can of worms) who eats a slice of pizza and mugs for the camera.

Everybody know the only DC property crossover worth exploring is Doom Patrol and Peacemaker. Cliff would LOVE Peacemaker, and most of Jane’s personalities would NOT.

Now playing

She was great. Tough but warm. Wish they had given her command of a ship and her own series.

My favorite stories from her are when MLK Jr told her she couldn’t quit and when she told Roddenberry “I know what you are doing here” and he said “Shhh...don’t tell anybody.”

There’s will be a new star in the sky tonight.

I’m not crying! It’s just ... a little dusty here in space.

Her calm, commanding presence as a crew member was an inspiration for young girls as myself... Cannot overstate how much of an impact she had for many of all ages. Does this leave only Shatner, Takei and Koenig from TOS?

A true pioneer. Her story about Dr. King telling her the importance of the show and her role is always touching.

Ms. Nichols, thank you for your amazing contribution to so many lives.  The inspiration you brought has not ended, and continues to reverberate even, and especially, during harder times.

Boldly go, Nichelle. Boldly go.

Rest with the stars above, Nichelle. I'll always treasure your photo that you signed for me at Comic Con years ago.

I reread a bunch of Lieber maybe 2-3 years back as part of my ongoing project to read/reread as many of the scifi and fantasy classics as I can (Best find so far “the stars my destination” by Bester).

considering what he looked like in blue fur for Beast of the X-Men that book cover is not far off.

OMG I tried to rewatch Krull about a month ago when i found it on HBO Max. It was TERRIBLE! I mean painfully bad. Think I made it halfway. Nearly Ice Pirates bad!

I will be honest, never seen the original. Back in the day I would have had to buy it, specialty and no way i was spending that kind of money on it.

The problem with the show was that it simply wasnt very good though. The character was weird and intersting, but the show was none of those things.

“OK, D&D movie articles are performing well this week. We’re going to go into the weekend strong with every one of the G/O Media sites posting an opinion piece for the readers to discuss. Yes, that means you, too, Jezebel, Jalopnik and Deadspin. You’ll figure it out.”

He’s behind you!

Protecting their cabin full of guns and children no doubt.

I’m willing to give it a go, but the idea doesn’t spark joy.
