Essence d’Bleucheque

It’s like an AI if you fed every fanboy/Sad Puppy/gamergater grievance into its algorithms.

Seeing as how Legendary was royally pissed at Warner Bros. for opening the first movie day and date in theaters and on HBO Max, I can’t imagine that this will improve relations between the studios. I could see them deciding to shop Messiah elsewhere, since it’s their property.

I think they publish under a couple of accounts here at least, since I’ve seen more than one poster with that weird conception of how capital letters and punctuation work.

I’m mostly fine with the retcons. Was not as thrilled with the world-weary dry Ahsoka with no emotions besides the occasional smugly-annoyed smirk... She was far more lively in Rebels than that, though I recognize a cartoon to live action conversion is always tough, and visually they did a great job.

Ackmena is canon, though, so all’s well with the galaxy.

As usual, this isn’t true if you consider ep 8

Chalamet is pretty much the way Herbert describes Paul, though. Literally one of the first lines in the book is about him being small for his age.

“Dark Jedi” started out as a placeholder term for “evil Force users,” since EU writers were forbidden to mention the Sith. But now that the Sith have been exhaustively depicted, there’s something interesting about the idea of Jedi who rely on the Dark Side. Sith are relentlessly indivialistic, subjugating others for

My guess is that Snoke will turn out to be a failed clone of Darth Plagueis.

It’s like someone said a while back. To Filoni, Star Wars is a universe. To Abrams, Star Wars is a movie he enjoyed when he was in fifth grade.

Oh yeah, and the art sucked too. Because everyone associates Star Wars with sickly green hues.

That’s already been explained. In the New Republic, the capital is located on the current Chancellor’s homeworld. In Mandalorian, it’s mentioned offhand that the Senate is based on Chandrila, Mon Mothma’s planet. Coruscant is still there, as far as we know.

The YV never really felt particularly “Star Wars,” more like something a hungover EU writer typed up in a proposal after a long weekend of drunken Warhammer. And this was during the early days of the prequel era, so everything Lucas was introducing in the new movies, like the Sith, was largely out of bounds.

Then again, Kassad turned out to be the Shrike all along, and that’s just loony.

There’s a strong parallel with Strange New Worlds, which is indisputably A Star Trek®, but if you’ve never seen TOS or Discovery or even know what those are, you should be able to figure out the premise with little or no difficulty.

I’ve seen maybe 75% of Clone Wars (mostly over a decade ago) and one or two episodes of Rebels and I was able to understand what was going on just fine.

Star Wars canon is whatever the most people have seen the most of. You can be sure that if someone comes up with a cool idea for a movie or live action show that contradicts something that was in one novel or comics story years ago, the live action thing is going to take priority. This is why I never really put much

The prequels are a mixed bag overall, but they are way more interesting than the sequels, which were basically Iger telling Kennedy and Abrams to “make a proper Star War, like back in the old days” and them coming up with a rehash of ANH and the OT in general.
