Wasn’t that kind of implied at the end of Picard with Captain Seven and the Enterprise-G?

Ah, the glories of Prestige Television coupled with a writer’s strike... We’ll see this conclusion 2 years from now, if we’re lucky.
She should’ve worn the Rigel cap.
Star Trek is literally known for plot armor for main characters. The Red Shirt stereotype is specific to the show.
I think there were more than two rockets. But the bigger wtf for me was that Spock planted the last one INSIDE THE BRIDGE. How TF does that work?
You left out Finnegan.
“History” in that they have a history together that predates the events depicted on TOS. There’s zero evidence of that. Chapel doesn’t seem to have known Spock at all prior to joining Kirk’s crew. But SNW establishes that they’d had a friendship followed by a romantic/sexual relationship that lasted several weeks or…
I wish they’d make a Wacky Races movie instead.
Again, Chapel had a crush on Spock, but the show never implies that they’d had a full-blown romantic relationship just a few years earlier. TOS Chapel also doesn’t seem to know a whole lot about Vulcan culture or biology, based on “Amok Time.”
I remember Harlan Ellison talking about how Gene and Majel would go up to his office during lunch hour to bone. This was before he’d divorced his first wife and they had very few opportunities to get together outside of work.
All played by humans in mocap.
Maybe they can get one of the Cronenbergs for a body horror/Turbo Teen angle.
THR reports Mattel is now “meeting with directors” to discuss the company’s planned Hot Wheels movie at Warner Bros.
Are there any fan theories that aren’t bullshit?
It’s that, by virtue of their history with the franchise, every new appearance from the future Enterprise crew sucks more oxygen out of the room. That’s what I mean about spinoff/vs prequel.
They could do a two season event series covering years 4 and 5 of the five year mission as TOS was cancelled after year 3
I don’t know how you could miss Chapel’s swooning for Spock in ToS.
it’s a very safe bet this is all meant to be one timeline - just one where the pre-TOS shows have played around with canon in order to tell their own stories.
But the bigger issue is that from common sense (and the trailers) we knew Number One was going to get out of jail - and the two episodes spent on how she did so just weren’t worthwhile on their own. The same went for the La’an-LT Kirk and Spock-Chapel storylines, which the show essentially devoted three episodes as…
On the other hand, the Peacemaker/The Suicide Squad characters seem to still be around (and Davis’ Waller is a holdover from the first, Gunnless Suicide Squad). And Momoa’s Aquaman is still onboard, though that’s probably contingent on how Lost Kingdom does.
