I would think that this is more of a short-term reaction, and the track day organizations will adapt to allow cars equipped with these systems to run, perhaps with a mandatory and documented removal of a fuse or some other verifiable temporary fix. This is my approach too, though occasionally I’ll skip straight to the good stuff if the Harbor Freight tools are particularly horrible. I went straight for DeWalt for my drills, and my wrenches are all 15 year old Craftsman stuff.

If I need more space up front I’ll certainly try that, but it honestly hasn’t come up. I can bring everything I need for a day at the autocross (folding chairs, cooler, EZ Up, Helmet, Tools, Fluids, Etc.) with no issue.

That problem is way overblown. My early first gen car has been driven in great anger and it is quite progressive in its oversteer, and only if you ask nicely. In most corners it’s quite well balanced, and even pushy if you’re not smooth.

Olympic lifts and Kettlebell swings can help a bit with vertical jump, but from my experience most of the improvement comes from technique improvement rather than strength improvements. I’ve found much more improvement from properly using my arms in improving vertical jump.

Roof racks can actually be useful though. I’ve brought full 4x8 sheets of plywood home with my Mazda 2 with my roof rack. It probably looked a little sketchy, but it was no problem at all. Totally with you on the guys that have the full bike rack setup and don’t own or ride bicycles though.

I wouldn’t say the Soundstage is one of the strength’s of the Grado design. For that you want to pick up some nicer Sennheiser, AKG, or Beyerdynamics. They’re great for rock though, and F1 motors oddly enough.
