In terms of preexisting lore, it would make the most sense for him to be one of the Blue Wizards since Tolkien flip-flopped between them arriving in the second or third age. In terms of the show, it would be surprising if it weren’t either Gandalf or Saruman though even though they didn’t arrive in Middle Earth until

Feanor is not Galadriel’s father. He’s her uncle.

Word. Bunch of losers whining about it being “woke” because there’s a POC elf. Who gives a shit, elves aren’t real.
Personally i wasn’t sure if the show was gonna work - the trailers did nothing for me, but I enjoyed both episodes and honestly I’d been ready to watch more tonight.

I consider myself a Tolkien fanboy and overall I am very impressed. A lot of the people with hate-boners for this show don’t really care about Tolkien they just want to be apart of a culture war.

1) The War of Wrath also involved a large chunk of western Middle Earth being blasted into the ocean.

I’m rooting for one of the blue wizards as well, since they’re basically blank slates. It’d also fit with the southern focus; what little we know about them involves establishing themselves in the lands of the humans.

Well, like most shows, I’ll binge it when it’s done. But so far it seems from the reviews on here and other articles, that it’s so far so good.

50:50 it’s either Gandalf or Saruman. Although it’s interesting if its actually Sauron.

Well, all I can say is I’m glad I’m not a Tolkien fanboy, so I can enjoy the show for what it is rather than grinding my teeth and tearing my clothes apart at every perceived slight of the author’s memory.

Hopefully it’s NOT Gandalf, that’d be disappointing. I’d be okay with him being one of the blue wizards though, which are mostly ignored in Tolkien’s work

The hunters have these really cool broad, flat antlers from massive bucks on their backs, making them look winged, which must be used as a defense mechanism against eagles and wolves.

It is also troubling that even Barker has decided to get in on having the Cenobites be fancy demons from hell that torture sinners in creative ways.

But there’s so much going on just as “yes, this is a bit” gags that there’s not really enough time for the main story to focus on anything beyond Boimler and Mariner’s plights—much to the frustration of anyone hoping that the series had started to figure out how to give more time to Tendi and Rutherford, who largely

> Assassin’s Creed Mirage, previously codenamed “Rift,” is the follow-up to 2020's viking-themed Valhalla. Set in 9th entry Baghdad and originally planned as an expansion to Valhalla—

I’m very much on board for this, especially if they treat the setting right. That first game may be a mess by today’s standards but that setting of early Islamic Middle-East is something very few games have bothered to explore.

why must we pit two bad bitches against each other?

That was the war against the evil kingdom of Angmar, ruled by the Nazgul Witch King.  It’s about 1300 years after this show, but I don’t know how much that matters since they pretty much bunched up the whole second half of the Second Age together.

Literally the first image released for the show was of Valinor - albeit, Valinor in the First Age. That shot of the Two Trees, and the city of Tirion in front of them. It has also been shown in more than one trailer.

I have no interest in either show but if I did I would readily watch both. Lots of people have cats and dogs. Lots of people watched “Deep Space Nine” and “Babylon 5" (some stations even ran the shows back to back). It’s no different than getting two scoops of different flavored ice cream in your cone. I imagine a lot

Both shows are getting good review buzz, if anything Rings of Power might have the leg up. Genuinely surprised today to see reviewers who were neutral or even negative on HotD seem to be much more positive about RoP. However, the general viewer reaction to HotD seems to be much more positive than a lot of people were
