I feel that the shortened development time dictated the sort of story they could tell. Which worked in their favor. And it’s how it should work: Release timeline changes? Scope changes.

It’s mediocre cocaine
Godspeed, Dowd! Hope to see (plus) you writing somewhere else real soon!
Would be a shame if someone figured out who he was and his clientele, then released that information publicly.
It’s barely been what, a year, since the big blow-up about the Justice League set stuff, much less the Buffy/Angel cast revelations. And the article gives the impression that it’s been months since the interview was done. Dude’s had no real time to genuinely reflect to give this sort of interview, much less want to…
My only gripe was that it could have probably used another episode. I can’t imagine them stretching a lot of the war stuff out over another 2-3 hours, 6 episodes seemed economical. What I did want was some sort of epilogue where we actually get to see the characters decompress and interact now that the war was over,…
I mean $20 is the 4-concurrent streaming devices. 4k isn’t really why I’d want it (in spite of now having uncapped internet) but it’s an added bonus since I’m paying for my parents and a friend to use it as well (the latter of which reimburses me in beer).
Buscemi’s skilled enough to know to watch the teeth
Whole lotta words to say “I can’t use the F and T slurs like I want to”
Uh oh, did this movie make me gay (including the infinite well of goodwill I have for Affleck)?
After the last thing I heard about Coulier in the theatre, I’m not sure that’d go down well.
So it’s not regulated federally just regulated at the State level. So... it’s regulated.
Nice
Yes, at a fundamental level all activities can be reduced to being “gambling”. I’m currently gambling that my partner won’t eat my leftover pizza. I’m currently gambling that my car is parked in a secure space. I’m gambling that my bladder won’t suddenly fail.
Pretty sure in some places it’s regulated to the point where there’s complete prohibition of Gambling. The joke being that games of chance have a some modicum of regulation (and are even codified into tax law) compared to speculative investing in Crypto.
Hey now, until there exists no Republican in an elected office you cannot blame the Democratic party. And then when that goal is met it’ll be all those damn radical Leftists that want free stuff fault. /s
Gambling would imply it was regulated in some substantive way.
I’m not convinced that this film has even been shot, much less ready for release 18 months ago.
Maybe they’re padding out their fiscal year, too? Given the talent that’s left Jezebel, The Root and Kotaku, I’m not really seeing this entire set of sites lasting long.
It’s what happens when your business model/metric of success is changed to “Impressions”. Looking at the writer’s previous articles, it feels like somebody needs to feed the model better data because woof.
