Glad that his movie (and Manhunter) will keep on being a great touchstone whenever there’s some mediocre adaptation of Harris’s work out there.
I think just about all Whedon stans migrated out of that some time ago, particularly when streaming and more diverse creators became more readily available.
People like to shit all over Feminism taking all the sexy women out of media when it’s really the opposite. It’s not like women writers/directors/producers hate boobs and female sexuality. And now that Feminism has led to more women in those roles, we get female sexuality in media again. Like, it wasn’t like women…
Has she been confirmed for the Rangers show yet? Because setting up a seasonal arc for her to be a ranger, creating a whole damn show about it, and then dropping her would be delicious.
Nah, guitar smashing, planned or not, is part of a performance. I’m not gonna fault Kevin Barnes or Wayne Coyne that they didn’t spring costumes from the aether, or spontaneously develop staging and blocking for their concerts.
I mean part of the reason some stuff disappears from discussion is that when dealt with, keeping on mentioning it only serves as a public reminder to the victim that they were victimized when 1) They know it and lived it and 2) Moved on after apology/consequences from/for the aggressor.
Giving a guitar company heads up that you’re going to smash their instrument on live television is the correct thing to do, though. I’ve been up for 2 hours, just had my morning bagel and am currently sipping coffee. I echo your sentiments.
It did and didn’t. When she made her statements it was pretty obvious that it was Manson, but she didn’t name him. With her recent remarks about threats and blackmail, it’s likely that she avoided saying his name because of those reasons.
If I were Phil Collins I’d talk down to Noel Gallagher, too.
To be fair, that new style on Sandy worked really well.
Jeff Bezos stepped down so he could travel to Laconia himself and supervise set building. He will not return for 3 decades...
I agree on the pacing. The two main storylines sucked the oxygen out of one another. I’d rather have had Amos and Mao for 2-3 full episodes and then focus on the rest. I was waiting for some Earth-Space link up of plots to justify what they were doing and it never came. It felt like we have to keep track of every…
