staggering southward ..... some 800 miles from their stranded ships until they perished
They’re so long because they have to plug the loopholes all the previous lawyers found. It’s like the NFL catch rule; every time a new edge case comes along it has to be legislated which adds to the length.
How far inland, though? Asheville’s at least a five-hour drive from Wilmington, and that wasn’t far enough inland to keep them safe.
Pfft - on my first car the FM was optional. Standard was AM only. And if you wanted a cassette deck you were obviously some bougey wanker who needed to go to Radio Shack.

I would assume that most people with high value cars have special insurance on them. You know that most people don’t have policies to cover the damage and going after the driver is most likely fruitless when you are in a 7 or 8 (even high 6) figure vehicle.
Rolls Royce is a company that has perfected the art of being almost-but-not-quite gaudy with their designs. They toe that line perfectly.
Look at it as paint protection for that (maybe) paint to sample order.
I would throw in Tesla, the Stinger’s short life, & Genesis growth as cutting into that small pie of luxury sedans that aren’t German (which is an entire segment that keeps shrinking). Bingo!
It didn’t help that literally the only thing I’ve heard from auto journalists about the return of Alfa was just how much of a lemon the Guilia turned out to be. I haven’t bothered to look at them since seeing how often their first model back in the states were breaking
Street Legal doesn’t necessarily mean Street Nice Or Fun To Drive, but I’d definitely try.
Why would you NOT write a ticket in that situation? Running into the back of another car is the definition of careless driving. What if she had run over a worker at the car wash instead of just running into another car?

I’ve had to do a lot of field noting in urban areas for projects. I learned early on to find major grocery or retail stores when I needed the bathroom instead of gas stations. Might have to drive an extra 5 minutes, but you never need keys/passcodes for the bathroom, they are infinitely cleaner, there are many more…
which are not freeway lanes
True...but because I’m a dork as soon as I clicked on the article and saw the car my reaction was “Why is he driving a Ghibli?” and this was before I read the post.
