Well for passenger cars that all anyone is doing, paying for a badge, but most people buying wheels like HRE are doing it to reduce weight v stock wheels plus they want better looking wheels. Frankly it’s less stupid to do that than it is to drop a few grand on the biggest wheels you can stuff in your wheel wells.
