He said he didn't think he'd be recognized for his looks, not that he wasn't aware of them. Even if he knew he was gorgeous, that doesn't mean he knew he could actually be a model! If you aren't, like, 16, and don't know how to make the right connections, don't have money for headshots/composites, and don't have the

Given that transgender individuals are at much higher risk for depression and suicide than cisgendered folks, I tend to think making hormone therapy and reassignment surgeries more accessible to more people could save a LOT of lives.

Not to mention David Boreanaz, who has starred in two other long-running shows since Buffy...

Yeah, he has done some idiotic things, but it seems like he's going through some shit. In his more stable moments he's done some good work and shown a sense of humor about himself. I wish him the best and hope he's getting help for the mental health stuff.

Exactly. It just wasn't good enough for him if there was no violation — like, didn't he drug a mistress/sugarbaby he had an ongoing consensual relationship with? I remember a quote from her about how confusing and distressing it was, because she couldn't think of anything she wouldn't have done if he ASKED. But he

Yes! The way he threw Ms. Johnson out of the house... I mean, sure he was probably worried her raising hell would attract attention, but it also seems like her noncompliance killed his vibe. She wasn't following his "script" for how it was supposed to happen.

I'm with you. It was real oatmeal she was wearing while pretending to be a queen. The phrasing is not terribly clear, but this seems like the most logical interpretation.

Omg. I think I love her.

As a theatre student I had to star this. Actor prep is weird and personal and utterly uninteresting to almost anyone besides the actor in question. Ain't nobody going to sit through an hours-long awards ceremony for that.

lol. I remember early on dating my boyfriend, we were chilling in bed and he got this distant look in his eyes, and I asked what he was thinking about.

Yeah, I feel like there are lots of people — both omnivore and vegetarian — who agree that, while animals are not people, it is really not necessary to torture them before eating them. Or consume more than is sustainable or healthy.

Green light is actually terrible on most humans. It just makes almost everyone look like zombies, regardless of complexion. Don't get me wrong, photographers need to be sure they light POC well and not just according to lighting standards originally developed for white folk... but green light is awful on nearly

Relish it, or condone and hope for it? Because let's be real, the thought of something awful happening to this dude in prison makes me feel a teeny bit better... but I don't think that kind of dark impulse toward vengeance is a good thing, or want it codified into law. And if someone kills him in prison I think they

Good on ya. When parents say their kid will only eat mac and cheese and chicken fingers or whatever it blows my mind. How does that happen?

Oh dear. The machiatto thing. I legitimately didn't know that the first time I went to a place that served the real thing. The cashier asked if I'd had a real machiatto before, very meekly, as if she'd had Incidents with customers not understanding it before, and showed me the size of the cup. She seemed honestly

At least as of 2009, when I was in a college production, there was a monologue from the perspective of a trans woman who had undergone SRS. Monologues have been added and cut and edited over the years, though. Each year they release an "official" script and that's what gets performed.

They are referring to her not wanting to cover her genitals... just because your coworker is ok filming a sex scene doesn't mean they are ready to encounter ALL of their costar's body in close proximity, when they may not know each other well. As an actress, if a male actor come on set refusing to wear the

I cannot believe how many people here have completely missed the point of a VEGAN restaurant.

Vegan restaurants, being mainly for vegans, tend to be pretty careful about making sure their food is actually vegan. It is a diet completely free if animal products, their customers would be furious and possibly ill if they were served something with actual shrimp flavoring.

Chipotle is pretty popular in my city. There's also Chop't and Sweet Green, which do assembly-line style salads, and Cava, which is exactly like Chipotle in concept except the food is Mediterranean.
