Not just against marriage equality - he used it as a wedge issue to get people to vote against (and while there, cast a vote for him as well).

That’s the thing - it was the revelation, not the friendship, that was the issue for her. And the whole non-responsibility thing and throwing others under the bus, don’t we recognise that especially from a certain segment of society the last few years?
Are we certain she isn’t a Republican?
I vaguely recognised it but that’s about it so I assumed Coldplay was correct. Coldplay would have been a bad choice too.
I would have gone for Aunt Superior.
If there’s a Coldplay cover sung by a soft-voiced woman, you know executives are confident they’re about to serve you a stirring-emotional-TV-moment. Did it work?
My sell-out remark mostly referred to other things.
Yet in a way that made her a strong role model - the normal person. The lesbian who is just like everybody else, albeit lesbian. I honestly think in that ‘role’ she meant more than had she taken a truly activist role. She was a key person in normalising queer folk and showing the world that at the end of the day we’re…
After all that came out (no pun) last year, and other issues over the years, I do think she gets what she deserves (and she has millions in the bank, a bunch of property and what not - she’ll be fine).
Did not know this show existed, thanks for letting me know as I like Nasim Pedrad (People of Earth was brilliant, and canceled way too early). However, it seems unlikely her new show has anything to do with this.
I don’t remember that one. Hope he does come back though, have a soft spot for Pete/Chad.
Just wondering if they actually killed off Chad, as in this was the end of the character. There’s not much coming back from your head exploding.
I’m on the spectrum myself and got the same feeling. At best it could explain how he goes about some things, but certainly not the why. Neurodiversity is cool and we certainly shouldn’t try to all act in the same way (much as society may try to pressure us all) but we can still be decent human beings.
I guess it depends on your kink, or living status, I guess, but it would not be my idea of a romantic movie either.
The go-to for zombie penii is Otto; or, Up With Dead People.
Sidenote: John Oliver is filming from his home now (he explained in an interview how there’s a big white void behind one of the doors in his house).
I guess there is some irony it’s a former first daughter leading the resistance...
Watched Cloudburst not too long ago, where she plays one half of a loving, bickering and hilarious couple together with Brenda Fricker - seen it a few times now. She was as awesome there as she has been in so many movies and series.
Oh Hell Yes!
I sort of draw the line in how people treat others, or speak about others. If you go all anti-lgbtq+, mysogynist, abusive or something you’re exit. If not, I’m annoyed but if I like your work (like Moss, like Beck) - I’ll probably keep watching/listening.
