Finally.
Finally.
Yeah. That's actually something I didn't even think about when I was watching. I was annoyed that they weren't closing doors behind themselves and at the walker who couldn't break through the window, but not enough to make me not enjoy the episode or make me lose my suspension of disbelief.
"Hey, just in case we need a French guy, someone call Jean Reno."
I dunno. When I was a teenager, I could wreck some Snack Packs.
Battery is still on my running playlist. It's hard not to run above goal pace when that riff starts up. Love the whole song. But totally agree on Sandman. Never super liked the song and can barely sit through it.
Totally stole it from someone else in the comments section.
Yeah, that kind of telegraphed to me that the writers were setting things up to try to make us think he'd turned later.
I also thought KORL's zombie scrum was a call-back to Rick's wrasslin' match in the County Works parking lot after he and Shane were slap-fighting.
With DJ Qualls as his even-keeled foil/best friend and Justin Long playing his taskmaster landlord.
I like the album, but Enter Sandman is probably my least favorite song on that album. I don't really object to any of his characterizations of that song or the album (I know plenty of people who legitimately don't like it, and for reasons other than it not being "street metal OG" enough), but you make some good points.
O'Neal, I really like reading your articles, but I'm really sorry you even had to write about something like this.
24, yes. I just recently forced myself to finish S7, and will probably slog through S8 so I'm caught up before the mini-series, which I will also slog through. I could put up with some of the more outlandish stuff, but really lost interest once Jack became less of a well-trained and motivated human being and more of a…
Will there be fidgety mannerisms??
Just like the gypsy woman said…
Goddamnit, O'Neal, if I didn't LOL (which I only use literally) at "disconcertingly full lips."
I only see my best friend from college once or twice a year, but every time we greet each other one of us begins with, "Gods… of… war!"
My wife and I watched it on Hulu the other night and had a similar impression. I laughed a bit (my wife laughed more), but I wouldn't give the pilot anything higher than a B. They seem to have decent chemistry and timing, though, so I'll probably watch again to see if I like it better as I watch more of it.
He might have been going for a portmanteau using his Polish last name, Wieczor. The first syllables are phonetically similar.
OT: @DickHolster:disqus, were you in the military?
If I remember right, it seemed written like it was meant to be experienced by (most) of the audience as a twist in the story. I thought the use of Khan as a foil was mostly a nod of respect to a major character in the mythology, and enjoyed the pacing and dialogue. I guess you could see it as lazy, though. It just…
