Not in LA, it's not.

Because I find really, really improbable to believe there are two Trump supporters in downtown LA. I find it even more unlikely that they're loudly picking fights with B celebrities and screaming MRA vocab at them.

Back at ya slick. Saying that Hughes crossed some mystical line wherein he can never be forgiven because he once thought security at Bataclan may have been in on the attack he lived through is pure "blaming the victim" bullshit.

I am getting more than a little tired of this trend wherein there is some horrific act of terrorism, and then everyone tries their damndest to focus all of their rage onto someone else on the periphery as to avoid facing the fact that Islamic terrorism might actually exist.

Hughes is getting condemned here and at Bataclan more than the people who opened fire. It's simpering at its worst.

Trump wouldn't be around in 2016 if the Republican establishment could have done anything about it. He may be unpopular with a large portion of America, but Congress is hated. Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, et al. will lose to Trump if they go head-to-head.

Because we all have obligations as human beings not to be complete fukking assholes?

The working poor were abandoned by both parties, by and large, since the 1970s. The parties realized that they didn't need to give two figs for working people, that instead everyone could be conditioned to vote for them based on social issues. People would vote Democrat or Republican solely based on their beliefs

You are out of your mind if you think Paul Ryan beats Trump in 2020 for the Republican nomination. Ryan will be lucky if Trump allows him to hold onto his seat in 2018 instead of running a primary challenger against him.

Oh, I agree entirely. My biggest anger with Obama is that instead of breaking Wall Street when he could have in 2009, he instead immediately started following GB2's lead with TARP et al. He was too afraid of a low Dow Jones to fix what needed fixing.

The difference is humor. Liberals (especially upper class white liberals) were laughing so hard that they couldn't see what was right in front of them. Trump supporters didn't think any of this was funny. They don't think being on food stamps, unable to get a job unless they go 100K in student loan debt, and having

Trump's winning the Republican nomination was a direct refutation by conservative Republican voters of the continual nomination of moderates. Conservatives, and I'm talking "Ron Paul is too liberal" conservatives, only got their guy because they sat out elections until their guy emerged. They refused to vote for

I am not going to eat rat poison because you say drinking strychnine is worse.

I think Bernie would have trounced Trump in Ohio, Pennnsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, while not losing any states Hillary won. That would have carried the election.

Liberals think that everyone, if they were just smart, would believe exactly the same as them. This is an incredibly dangerous belief and a major reason why liberalism loses more than it should. Things like The Daily Show, Bee, Oliver, etc. reinforce this belief. It makes us underestimate and take for granted.

Good post. What you saw in this election is that the Drudge Report is more powerful than ALL traditional media (Fox News included) combined. That is a truly amazing thing, and no one else got it but Trump. Matt Drudge, more than anyone, is why Trump won in the primaries, and more than anyone why Hillary's

"If nothing else, this election proved that liberals are lazy self-defeatists that couldn't even be bothered to vote in the most important election of their lives."

Everyone forgets that Obama had a Democratic congress (both houses) for his first two years. He had time to do what he wanted.

Hughes apologized for this six months ago.

I really don't think most of his people care about much more than jobs and the economy. If he abrogates NAFTA and somehow manufacturing returns to the US, he could marry Malia Obama and tear up a picture of Jesus on SNL and still win their support in a landslide.
