Sylvester Stallone has been Rocky for 40 years.

Donald Trump and Kanye West would be a hell of a lot more funny than Meghan Kelly.

I can't wait until we start electing the Supreme Court. Then we can finally embrace the Fahrenheit 451 future we've been heading towards.

People aren't down on this movie, any more than they were down on Total Recall, TMNT, or Robocop remakes. People are down on the constant stream of articles and pseudo-feminism surrounding it.

“VP Doyle is a lame duck, and you know what you do with lame animals?”
“Care for them.”
“Shoot them dead!”
“I got you. Kinder in the long run, actually.”

I can see arguments for liking those episodes, even if I don't, but I don't think they belong in the same league as classic Futurama.

However much credit Corey Stoll gets for House of Cards, it isn't enough. If it'd been a movie, he'd have deserved an Oscar. Just a truly great performance.

Jurassic World was a movie Middle America liked and the middlebrow will be damned if they'll let that insult pass.

It really isn't a great season, but every scene Dandy, Twisty, or NPH is in is fun. And it seems ridiculous, but the finale is shockingly great TV.

Freak Show wasn't a great season of TV, but parts of it were really fun and it had a shockingly great finale, maybe the best of all four seasons.

I'm much less worried about the existence of dumb television, than of people trying to pretend watching a particular television show is a sign of intelligence.

Even the aliens were extremely dumb fun, they just didn't pay off in any way.

I don't think that's much of a debate. Everyone knows 2 is the best, 1 is second, then it's a toss-up between 3 and 4. 3 starts better but has a horrible conclusion; 4 has a dull, nonsensical middle bunch of episodes, but Twisty/Dandy/the Finale are all pretty great.

He didn't just need to warn her. He needed her to believe it. And to do that, she needed to be there when IT found her.

Huh, maybe, but it seemed clear to me she did. Why else would IT show up naked on the roof as one of the guys unless to taunt her that he was dead? Taunting her because she decided not to pass it along to someone she doesn't know doesn't make much sense to me.

It was also without any suspense. We've seen John kill hundreds of people and all of a sudden we're supposed to doubt the result of him v. a 60 year old Russian and the Beeper King.

I think it was linear. It's implied that IT killed whichever of the bros she banged first almost immediately, hence IT appearing like one of them on the roof.

… isn't that what we do here?

I don't think so. I think they decided to have a sexual relationship despite the possibility that IT might kill them. Metaphor!

"why did he have to chloroform and tie her up just to explain about the curse?"
