Not a fan of Pennywise being a mean-looking clown. I dunno, maybe that’s how the book did it...but part of what made the miniseries so eerie was that Pennywise there was an otherwise completely normal friendly clown simply showing up in situations where you wouldn’t expect a completely normal friendly clown.

Well I am sure the jump scare fest is just in the trailers, I really am having trouble getting past the look of the clown. A normal clown in a threatening situation is more frightening than a “scary” looking clown.

Honestly? This is pretty standard for most feminist criticism. I’m glad you took it this way, but I think you might be surprised more often then not if you gave it a chance.
