I was also struck in those scenes, even more than before, how much that young actor resembles Kathryn Winnick, especially when he looks disapprovingly on something. As if she was the one watching Ragnar and Covenient Goddess Lady get it on. That certainly would have thrown a lesser man than Ragnar off his game. ;-)

I like all of your suggestions, but I'd keep Ed Weeks. He and his character have undeveloped potential, especially when he is paired with Messina.

Yes, this is pretty much how I regard the show at this point. I have stuck with it for some of the performers, especially Kaling and Messina.

Sorry but, inconsistencies and sloppy plotting aside, I laughed my ass off this week. Which is mostly down to the performances of the featured actors. Yes, this show could be so much more, but, for now at least, it's not the most unpleasant way to spend 30 minutes.

2. "Something by Ralph Waldo Emerson"

The women were killing it this week. Joan's rage, Trudy's strength, Peggy's tame and hilarious sexual fantasy about Ted (the book! the smoking jacket!) and her stunned reaction at the end, Megan's mother's EVERYTHING.

"Joke delivery devices." Yes, this is how I feel. I laugh a few times, there are clever lines and talented actors, but the character development and plotting needs work. And, oh, my late, lamented Ben & Kate. I want to cry just thinking about that cancellation. :-(

Agreed. She may be thinner than Kaling, but I think it's pretty obvious she could take her in any sort of hand-to-hand combat. She's no waif, and her looks are more quirky than traditionally beautiful or "hot."

I feel like, at this point, she's more famous for wearing crazy things on red carpets than she is for any acting projects.

This episode was Chris Messina's show, hands-down. Brilliant choices.

Oops, it's Arnie, not Artie. Stupid quiet Mad Men. ;-)

Dr. Rosen (Sylvia's husband). Am I getting his name wrong?

"Played by William Mapother like he just wandered in from the set of Lost"Word. Can he only do creepy?!? Did make me miss LOST, though.

OMG, was THAT what he was doing???? I couldn't figure it out. Hahaha!

And VERY pale!

Yes, painted on six-pack aside. the previous year's shots were funnier.

Meh. I didn't see any chemistry between them.

I did let out an (expected) bark of laughter at the shots of the 2012 calendar. I will admit. Tudyk slays me.

“Look at you and Tessa with your friendship and your repartee. It’s disgusting. You’d be surprised how many people think it is disgusting.”

I'm wondering if they just have a casting director or producer with a lot of local friends. ;-)
