Thanks for the correction. I have edited my post to be more grammatically correct.

Geez, the fact that you call me bigoted is jumping to conclusions. I'm a guy married to an engineer who has a daughter in college.

Well, I can't tell you all the ways they did it other than to say that that is the primary issue they deal with when they are trying to tease out any kind of meaningful signal.

Sigh, it's the Ron Paul thing. I actually agree, I'm thinking about changing my avatar because it's a distraction at times.

Ok! you win with that devastating comment.

edcharleston, all that matters is what the papers say. Are they credible? Are they well constructed? Only after you look at those things can you decide if they are biased.

The individual people in those positions are not determined by gender. But, the overall trends of large groups of people can be explained, in part, by innate differences in gender. These differences are well established and not in dispute in academia.

Brandon, people seem to lack the ability dispassionately accept data that disagree with their dearly held notions of how they think things should be.

Right, ok. Yeah, I haven't been here, just happened to follow a link. I know that every site has a cast of regulars and I don't know any of them here. So, I'm an ignorant newbie.

Rand? I'm not much of a fan, but some of her stuff is worth thinking about. I think she takes the "selfishness" thing way too far. And, her militant atheism is off-putting to me.

Sigh…

Biggus, I finally took 5 minutes to google it and gave JMP four links to read. I doubt if they will read them.

Wow, you're full of certainty and judgement. Are you that mean in the real world?

There is research to support the idea that the "single-threaded" mind is better at solving technical problems. Again, in a general sense.

Do you have anything to support your definitive rejection of the idea other than your own certainty that you are right?

I replying to you with no cites, so take it as you will. I have read serious articles about statistically significant differences in the genders in terms of types of thinking. Males tend to be more focused and able to concentrate their brain power on a particular problem (single-threaded). Women tend to be more
