Additional counterpoint. I daily drove RX-7s for 10 years (not even when they were brand new either) and was never left stranded by one. Yes it’s different. It’s biggest flaw is it requires an owner that understands it.

Damn, you guys are amazing with this stuff. Kudos.

Dating myself I know but I had both of these front-drivers.

I brought this up with my insurance company recently. They gave me the phone version of the cocked-head dog questioning face.

*ahem*

I made this exact decision almost a year ago. I can 100% recommend it.

Sounds like what this gentleman really needs is a U-boat.

Or green if you’re Vulcan or Romulan.

but it’s a take that’s endorsed by the TX lieutenant governor.  Those near retirees should be willing to take one for the team to make sure GM has a glorious future.

Any color you want, as long as it’s red.

I always thought these were kind of neat looking cars, sort of a Euro twist on a Camaro. Seen some really neat resto mod/pro touring builds with these and I think they look fantastic:

Cool(ish), Unique (very), Intact(ish), Cheap(ish).

Exactly. Drywall is so easy to damage that I want it fully supported for just about the whole length of the panel. 6' bed with the tailgate(2ft) down is enough as long as it has 48" width.

Agree! There is really no good reason, that I have found, for a truck/SUV to have a console mounted shifter. But all the bloggers here will drone on and on about how dated and stupid that is.   I’m welcome to hear other opinions, but I just prefer the simple column shift lever.

Why is a console shifter desirable?

Neutral:

you will receive the order of Lenin for this.

“We can store these right next to our toilet paper stash!”

I look at gas like alcohol.

There’s a certain time and place where both a real hoot.
Go to the track, go for a fun drive, vroom vroom, etc.
Go to the bar, get some wings, have a few drinks, hang out with friends.

But I wouldn’t want to see exclusively one or the other. For example, I don’t want ALL liquids to be beer.
