treating your family well ≠ inability to mistreat others. just because someone hasn’t abused you doesn’t mean they haven’t abused others or don’t have the capacity to. I don’t understand the complete denial that Cosby supporters and his family have - with this many victims coming forward, wouldn’t there be some kind

I’m sorry you experienced this, but I’m glad you got to leave those people behind.

omg this gif is so me and my love affair with popcorn. I just found the video, watched it 3 times, and then sent it to my gf asking if she could somehow get this to happen to me at our next NHL game.

I am so tired of the ‘women are more emotional while on their period’ argument; I am not more emotional - I am in more pain! Also, I doubt the language in the law would encompass this, but I wish that the law would acknowledge non-binary/masc identified/men who menstruate as well.

I did! That’s a great idea. Thanks :)

I looked it up, and these are the uniforms now:

I had the brown dress (so pleated on the skirt...) and also had a brown and white striped t, boxy brown pants, and a brown crew neck sweater with a giant orange leaf on it that was a practical (and comfortable!) alternative. And my proudly displayed sash and perfectly tied scarf, of course.

I think the two on the right are Brownies - they have brown leaves on their scarves. I looked it up and these are the modern uniforms.

I was a Brownie in Toronto in the late 1990s and I just came here to say, THE UNIFORMS AREN’T BROWN WITH ORANGE ACCENTS ANYMORE!? Nothing is sacred anymore!

Good for the Girl Guides for taking a stand though. I’m not crossing the border for the same reasons. I’ll spend my money at local businesses instead and visit

If you’re hosting, make sure you provide some snacks and have drinks on hand, and if you’re not, let the guests know so that they can bring food if they are hungry. There are bound to be guests coming from work/a previous engagement/etc, and they may not have eaten before coming to your party. Also, people will

These guys/culture were a major reason of why I moved from the downtown core to St Clair W. Less public displays of misogyny/overcompensating up here, and I’m still connected to everything! Not to mention the street car tracks are completely separate from the road...

omg that pic ISN’T CLAIRE DANES?! I thought it was some Homeland still or something, ahahaha. I can’t believe it.

my gf and I watched La La Land after all the buzz and when it was over we were like ‘???? THIS is what everyone is so excited about???’ we had friends who said that they were sobbing in the theatre, and we were like WHEN?! WHEN DID THIS MOVIE SPARK ANY KIND OF EMOTION?! we couldn’t wait for it to be over.

and there’s my weekly occurrence of coffee through the nose...

I wrote this on a different post but I’ll share it again:

Hey, Canadians - call, write, and/or email your MP and put pressure on them to speak out against the Safe Third Country Agreement and the Designated Country of Origin list (which has been deemed discriminatory by the Federal Court of Canada). You can find your

Thanks so much for doing so!

I know that this isn’t about celebrities, but it is related to Trump and it needs to be said:

Hey, Canadians - call, write, and/or email your MP and put pressure on them to speak out against the Safe Third Country Agreement and the Designated Country of Origin list (which has been deemed discriminatory by the Federal

yes yes yes!! I was also a very big fan of the “Patriarchy coffin.” hell yeah, let’s put the patriarchy to rest!

one of my favourite signs today was just south of Dundas and held by a man standing on the sidelines. it said in huge letters: PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP. My girlfriend and I just squeezed each others hands and talked about how nice it was to see the allyship.

This is a shitty thing to have happened to her and the others, but I really love when Alanis is in the news.
