Everything I can find calls the belief that Queen Charlotte was “Black” as “wildly discredited.” Similar to how Cleopatra was obviously Greek and not sub-Saharan Black African in any way.

Dude, Philip DeFranco is more a threat to traditional print media than Kotaku.

“the online blogging arena which set fire to countless blue collar jobs“

I understand your concerns about the impact of automation on blue-collar jobs, and it’s essential to address those issues. However, it’s not fair to dismiss the concerns of white-collar workers who are also facing job losses due to automation.

For each of these episodes you could probably find the corresponding South Park episode that ripped it off, and instantly get a “10 best South Park episodes” list. Standards are way lower for that show. “Oh we make fun of everyone [who’s not a rich straight white male libertarian].”

“Elon Musk appearing on your show” is this generation’s “jumping the shark.” I put up with Rick and Morty’s bad fanbase for a while to enjoy the occasional good parts until that Musk episode, and then it made me think, “Why am I doing this to myself for people who thought this was a good idea?”

Seems off for the Simpsons to have a rape joke. Really more of a South Park style bit. The Simpsons usually seems to run on the nicer side of Married with Children as far as the types and meanness of the jokes.

Pretty much. Season 8 is the last Golden Era season, and Season 9 still has a few dying gasps. The Principal and the Pauper is bad, and the last sequence of that year’s Treehouse of Horror falls pretty flat.

wow i just checked what episode that is and yeah that’s *exactly* the point where i was like ‘uh what’s going on with this show.’ i was planning on watching the first ten seasons because that’s what people usually say you should watch, but i definitely didn’t make it far past that episode

To say S11 is the end of the golden era is waaaay too late. Personally, I place it exactly at the second half of the Tamzarian episode.

Okay, so I probably needn’t feel too bad that I haven’t watched The Simpsons in like twenty years? 🤔

Doing a When Harry Met Sally parody 30 years after the fact is old-people-bubble levels only rivaled by Vince McMahon making his young wrestlers make references to Sally Jesse Raphael in the 2020s

Sorry, but this kind of extreme solution makes little sense.

Have you ever looked at Steam reviews? Saying it’s “largely” abused is straight up dishonest if so, and uninformed if not.

I dunno, I'd heard that the PS5 version was about the same, the disc install covers tutorial and level one as I understood it- the rest of the game has to be downloaded in the day one patch.

Maybe there's some truth to that but it's weird you post that on an article about bad reviews due to shit performance and a massive patch made in a shitty way and not on a post where it's more valid, like one specifically about review bombing.

I bought the first game a few weeks ago for my PS4 Pro. It runs so poorly the game is literally unplayable, with horrendous sound stuttering that ends up unsyncing audio and visuals for huge gaps of time. Looking it up this was a common problem for many PS4 players, and no solution was ever patched.

but it’s nothing like what PC gamers have to deal with.
