As far as I understand it that movie was kind of saved in spite of him in the editing room.”

Please tell me this is sarcastic. Edwards is a fucking shit tier director.

You want a guy who has directed multiple movies which are all soulless, tiresome, full of horrible empty characters and pretty images to direct this movie? Jesus.

Definitely despite Edwards. If they hadn’t sent Tony Gilroy into rescue (and kind of kidnap, given Andor) Rogue One, it would be a particular accursed SW movie, hated by all, rather than mildly divisive but with its moments.

Oh come on that’s just insulting to two miniature Neil Blomkamps! At least they have some imagination and style, even if their taste level is in the basement. Gareth Edwards has neither.

“but nope, they’re fast-tracking this shit and hiring the first director who can have the movie ready in 15 months.”

When did you decide to hate honesty? God forbid a writer have a bit of fun for once.

I fucking love this cast. It’s ridiculous. The movie will probably be dreadful but at least it might be worth laying around on a Sunday and watching kind of dreadful.

Roger, will do!

As for comparing MS to a pedophile, you may need to step back and take a breather. You seem to have an unhealthy hatred for a company that makes software and hardware. Maybe you dislike their business strategy or products but as far as I know, they don’t sexually assault children.”

Yeah that makes sense.

Can’t we just go back to British 1980s and 1990s levels of security? Which were a lot higher than US airport levels of security, but were clearly sufficient, and were a lot less insane than the bullshit with bottles and shoes and so on today. Also weren’t millimetre-wave radar dicks-and-tits-on-full-display scanners

“SteamOS was a flop and irrelevant until the Steam Deck released so I’m not sure that holds up. Hell, it’s still irrelevant to MS because Windows still comprises like 99% of the OS market. If MS relented, it’s most likely because they wanted to avoid potential antitrust issues. Well, that and the fact that forcing

I’d probably also add that, maybe I just live in a bubble, but I played a ton of big budget single player games in 2023, without this level of issues”

They are indeed minor complaints - he’s wildly exaggerating about act 3 - especially by implying that most people had similar problems, when in fact almost no-one managed to get any major questlines to break in the way he describes.

“but a literal huge swath of this game is borderline broken, and has been for some time. In act 3 I had to go back multiple hours, multiple times because of completely broken quest lines due to archaically bad quest design that centered around one or two triggers that *may* or may not happen for every player.”

OH FUCK despite your description I was NOT READY for what I saw when I scrolled down that image.

I can only assume you were unable or unwilling to watch the Twitter post linked in the article which had a video of some of the line-reads.

No.

I can only conclude that guy caught multiple Sony execs dumping the body of a child whilst they were caked in cocaine, and got it on video or something.
