Yeah there are a ton of improvements here but no changes to what makes D4 fundamentally tedious and uninvolving as an ARPG. It’s like you have a broken leg and yes they put bandaids on all the scratches and cuts and gave you two ibuprofen, but they didn’t splint it let alone put it in a cast and aren’t going to any

Was it? It’s not funny. Just sounds like a whinge.

“the only leak I’ve seen talked about includes Carol becoming Peter Parker love interest to make her more likeable”

That’s ridiculous. Cole is based on a real person and looks far more like the real person than the ridiculous Chad version. It looks like dogshit if you actually Aaron Staton looks like:

Also - the thumbnail is of a FACIAL SCAN, so the original is actually what the guy looks like, whereas the other one some ridiculous Chad’d up version.

ITT two humourless bastards.

???

It doesn’t really matter if the sort of people who post here are happy, as shown by the fact that half the ideas in this thread are idiotic ultra-niche stuff (and I say that as a long-term X-men fan).

I mean, none?

It will be a benefit. I suspect it’s still doomed because of a combination of sexism, two of the major characters being introduced only in the TV series (which still most people who watched the movies won’t have seen, given Disney+’s subscriber levels), and mostly importantly - it just not seeming very exciting or

The leak plot of a couple of years ago, which so far has only been confirmed repeatedly definitely couldn’t have sustained 2 hours so it seems like a good thing. I don’t expect it to do very well though.

I’m pretty sure he means Captain Marvel rather than Ms. Marvel as he refers to a “cosmic hero”, and if we use the “actually read” qualification on “cosmic hero”, then none of them qualify, not post-2010 or so.

He’s far too nice! But yes OSS 117 is a fascinating series I only became aware of because of the podcast. They’re covering the 1960s versions at the moment.

I mean, if you make him a protagonist, a huge proportion of the people going to see the movie will assume you excusing his behaviour. If you make him a protagonist and call him James Bond, close to 100% of people will.

The interesting thing about the flaws in the Bond movies is that they reflect the flaws of its era.”

The issue is that even a reprehensible protagonist needs to likeable/cool, and to have reasons for his/her reprehensible behaviour that even if they don’t excuse it at all, at least make it kind of understandable.

Fun and fascinating is definitely something I think the podcast would say is true of the Bond movies as a whole, but they’re also significantly flawed, often hilariously so (sometimes less hilariously - the “corrective rape” of Pussy Galore, to “fix” her from being a lesbian in Goldfinger is one of Bond’s lower

LOL try and keep up. He claimed “since the late 1980s”, but he’s full of shit. So no, he moved the goalposts, not me.

I don’t think they are.

You should listen to the podcast Kill James Bond, I think you’d enjoy it a lot (plus it’s just pretty great). https://killjamesbondpod.podbean.com/page/14/
