No. I worked for over a decade at a corporate law firm as a researcher, and I know exactly how far forwards companies project in any serious way, and it is almost never more than a decade, two at the outside the most extremely long-term-ist companies. However, plans that aimed that far out almost always fall through

Dark medieval fantasy in games and even other movies/TV where it appears doesn’t look anything at all like GoT, in general, so that’s a bizarre thing to say. Just look at the Souls games or Diablo 4 for easy examples. Dark medieval fantasy, but look absolutely nothing like GoT.

Not mentioning incredibly obvious influence wouldn’t magically have made the incredibly obvious influence unnoticeable, so that’s a bizarre thing to wish for. Even before they mentioned it, people were talking about it.

I don’t believe, for one hot second, any producer is thinking about “over a century”. That’s the kind of long-term thinking that we just never see today, particularly not from businesses.

And probably a lot less actively stupid, too, so yeah.

It’s a pretty insane overhaul that reworks most of the major systems of the game, as far as I can see, so I think I’m going to wait for the expansion and do another full playthrough with the new systems myself.

Unfortunately the EU failing to block it means it’ll likely end up going through. Then in 5 years when some new guy at MS decides gaming is a dead end we can watch as MS just shutters a bunch of respected studios and vaults their IP like a turbo-charged ‘00s-era EA.

Not only is this an utterly disgusting and super-biased move from the AP, but it actually conflicts with self-description of a lot of the people involved (many of whom actually lean into TERF and/or Gender Critical, both of which the AP wankers are trying to ban). Worse still, journalistically, it advises you to lie

“Indy has gone woke!” is right up there with “Star Trek has gone woke!” in terms of utter insanity.

“Quite a large portion? Really? Care to actually list the ones you know anything about? I’m betting it’s a small percentage of the total list.”

Literally the only great line that the writers of GoT actually came up with, rather than borrowing from GRRM. But what a line.

Of the three upcoming Star Wars movies (I know, I know, I’ll believe it when I’m in the theatre too!), at least two are set fairly far from the movies (especially the OT), time-wise, so I think Disney is increasingly feeling the same.

I’d never heard of this before the trailer, but it looks great and I’m glad to hear it actually is willing to do heavier stuff, something that even a lot of relatively well-made animated movies like to try and sneak around or utterly minimize dwell-time on. Also really good to have more unarguable trans themes,

In the context of Deadpool, it’s not at all a stretch. In the context of the greater Marvel universe, sure, but I think the former applies here.

My views on her aren’t as negative as yours I think but it speaks volumes that her most convincing acting role (imho), was in Her, playing a disembodied robot voice.

I think he’s already been confirmed as back, amusingly.

So you think we should indulge the misogynist twats, and give them clicks and views by linking to them? I think you might need to grow up a little bit, kid. Or are you just mad because you were hoping to add some new misogynists to the people you watch on Twitch or whatever?

It’s not that the articles are “cookie-cutter” - this one certainly isn’t - it’s that the “outrage” is repetitive, predictable, and tiresome, yet never fails to materialize. You’d think these shitbags would get bored of being wrong eventually, and in, say, the 1990s that might even have happened because the only way

Have you looked at the list of studios acquired by Embracer? Of those, how many have you even heard of?”

Given the fact that they chose to be acquired, that suggests that they weren’t financially secure before the acquisition.”
