Given that the SVP has a new job and the employees were upset, and we’re just hearing this now, my guess is it’s like every closure: the higher ups got warning to go find another job and the regular employees got fucked.

The concept is more difficult to get to grips with in your head than it is in practice, I imagine. I usually shy away from that model as well, but rarely does it feel demoralizing here.
Theory is from insiders that the major price hike is due to Nintendo actually trying to get 3rd party companies to hand over their major AAA titles rather than rely entirely on the N64 equivalents of Joe & Mac and Jelly Boy as their headliners. That’s probably why we have Castlevania and Contra for the Genesis app and…
People are saying this is a very Nintendo thing, but... it kinda isn’t. It’s not like them to release a problem with a bunch of technical issues and entirely miss the mark on pricing. The VC games were overpriced and not perfect, but it was a sleek, effective experience. This much of a miss on what is a huge…
It doesn’t feel all that necessary in Deathloop, since the game autosaves between times of day. You’re only ever really spending about 20 minutes at a time in a single area. I’ll often just hop in and make some progress during the second half of my lunch break.
yeah, i tend to agree. america didn’t go nearly hard enough when rebuilding/reoccupying the south.
Wasn't Kingdom Hearts itself also the result of Square and Disney staff running into each other? Wild that this thing exists, let alone has somehow continued on so long and has been allowed to go to such bizarre places. I'm glad it does, though.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have their own sets cooking. Based on these pics on the post, they’re certainly better than anything I could ever create, but compared to the crazy detail a lot of LEGO sets have? These don’t seem that great.
There are significantly better medieval castles and buildings in the options…
It’s funny. One of the common comments is “why is LEGO so complicated these days? When I was a kid we had... and only had...” Or the “it’s gotten so expensive.”
It probably had to be that way to not throw any third party devs under the bus. But yeah, it’s interesting that it implicitly confirms that there is no commitment to go back and add full naive controller support to anything older from Valve, which itself sets expectations for the rest of developers.
I work at a software developer, and my best guess on this is that Microsoft’s game clients (and store services) are bad for a couple of reasons.
Their gaming division and their OS division are effectively not even the same company.
It was a pain to be sure.
That said I’m not super impressed with Xbox app for Windows either.
Yes, it’s the same Tommy.
Because honestly it shouldn’t have been on GoG to begin with even if had disclosed the full extent of online functionality. Live service games have no place on GoG if they can’t be fully playable offline and never touching the internet. GoG’s meant for the folk who lament that a digital only game doesn’t have the…
I’m compelled to disagree. The strength of the soundtrack in the Gunn movies is the relative ecclectic mix and obscurity of the tracks in question. This is a pretty generic slush of 80s mixes but there is nothing very distinct about it.
Zero to Hero? In no time flat? Zero to Hero, JUST LIKE THAT
I don’t know how to feel about this. It’s hard to understate the guy’s music and my personal connection to it, but on the other hand he’s him. It was the same when Phil Spector died. I can’t help but be sad that the guy isn’t around anymore - like, intellectually I know that he’s said and done some really shitty…
He certainly was a man of his time. Passionate creative that has blessed games with his music, but still an old-timey asshole.
To add to this, “console like games”...but worse. Uncharted Golden Abyss launched the same year as Uncharted 3. It’s just..uglier, missing buttons and has no MP or variety of environments. Games like that will always get unfavorably compared to the games they aren’t.
