My Vive Pro doesn’t rely on onboard processing and is wireless, but I had to purchase a $300 wireless adapter on top of what was already an expensive setup in order to gain that functionality.

Wishful thinking, but it would be awesome if the headset ended up being wireless. Either way, I’m stoked Sony is continuing with the PSVR2. My wife got me one for the PS4 last March just before COVID, and it’s been a blast.

I’m definitely not complaining, but I’m surprised by how fast we went from “Well, VR is cool, I’m sure we’ll do something with it again eventually” to “Yo, we’re totally doing a whole new headset, check out these new controllers” seemingly out of nowhere.

Between HZD and Octopath coming to game pass, this is a banner week in me putting off buying a game only for it to become free.
