Ennis' PunisherMAX is one of my all-time favorite runs. But when you finish reading it you will feel depressed and probably want a shower.
I believe that would be Punisher: Born. The Tyger story shows how Frank was all about the violence even as a child. That one-shot might just be my favorite Garth Ennis thing ever, and is certainly my favorite Punisher thing ever.

The real problem with the Watchmen screenplay is that Solid Snake was not actually in it. But it makes sense why he wasn't. If they put him in the movie it would have been 15 minutes long.
