In Europe I’ve never seen a “free” shopping cart. Work’s pretty well, you almost never see shopping carts anywhere but the store. They still get stolen sometimes, but apparently not that often.

I don’t know about the regulations in other countries, but in Germany there are quite specific regulations for the tolerance of the speedometer. The maximum deviation is 10% + 4km/h, so at 50km/h driving speed the speedometer may show 59km/h, at 100km/h the speedometer may show 114km/h. I’m way to tired to convert…

Well it's not like it was a matter of life and death. But it can be frustrating. I once called the police because a truck crashed down the hill and was leaking oil and petrol, took them over an hour to get there (police station was about a 10 minute drive away)
