Herbicides are pesticides.

"equally as effective"

Did you not read the article at all? The point is that it does the exact opposite of "keeping them in line."

they are completely unable to function in any society, not even to controlled prison one.

"when someone proves they cannot function in society without causing grave harm to others, we should mess them up even more."

Sounds like you'll fit right in. Don't step on the flowers.

I thought it was "corrections."

Sure! Let's take someone who's seriously messed up in the head and mess them up even more. Great plan Einstein.

Replacement? What are you talking about? The replacement is… not solitary confinement. They aren't using the rooms to store them. They have cells you know.

You're taking someone who's already very messed up in the head and messing them up even more. What a brilliant idea.

Yes it's speculative, but when you consider that people's dislike for Monsanto is a major factor in how they perceive genetic engineering, demonstrating that it's not all about evil corporations wanting to make evil profits by poisoning people, while certainly won't give people any reason to favor a GE food product

(With thanks to ~LaniLupani for the original)

that modified creatures, breed to be sterile with specific genes, are able to mutate and evolve, and eventually become loose in the wild

That's what I'm talking about. Eventually, the market advantage for being USDA certified organic will become insignificant as biotechnology becomes more and more domesticated.

Or, to give an equally absurd example, let's add some small razor blades in with a birthday cake mix. Would you like to impose debilitating restrictions on baked goods, to such an extent that clearing an everyday pastry for human consumption will require over a decade of testing and review? Because that's the level

As biotechnology becomes more and more domesticated, the number of places where genetically engineered crops are "not wanted" will decrease. It's an irrational fear that's doomed to virtual extinction once people can get a real grasp on what GE actually is, and realize that "GMO Free" is just as much of a cash-grab

Look up "AquAdvantage."

They already sell suicide seeds, in which the plants don't yield seeds for future planting.

However, when Malak had a screenshot provided by Fox in 2010 analyzed by two computer experts, the experts said that the screenshot did not prove the date of the file.

I think that's done on some of the surface flyover shots (specifically the Moon), but surely there are still scenes that are pretty much exactly the same as having taken a video camera into space - like the galaxy and Saturn shots, right?
