Not what I would call "actively." One might often want to listen to music on their phone while having their phone in their pocket, or in some other scenario where it's not the focus of their immediate attention. Thus, it would be as desirable to have some mechanism for preventing accidental input as it would be if

Fine, just Amnesia then. Or any other horror game. The point still stands. Girls should leave that sort of stuff to the boys.

I wouldn't consider that actively using your phone. If you were *really* "actively using your phone," there would be no need for the lockscreen to come up at all.

You seem to be arguing something completely unrelated to people watching FiM. I question your motives for even bringing up the subject of playing with barbie dolls in a sexual way at all. I'm perfectly willing to condemn people (anyone, not just males) that sit in rooms and engage in sexual play with children's toys

"You force the idea that partiality in both genders are genetically neutral based on junk science, and blame the media and external influences"

Now now young one, don't lose hope. For I've heard a legend that was passed down by my great ancestors countless generations. A legend about a comment on this very article that was focused and on-topic! Perhaps when you're older, I'll tell it to you, so that you will be able to share it with your children.

What about people that watch the show and engage with the community but don't call themselves "bronies," like DasBoSchitt?

And girls that play horror videogames may have vaginas and all... but they're not girls.

Oh.

I see soulless girls playing Amnesia and Slender. That sort of stuff should be left to the boys.

Well, the ones on Bronies React sure like to, and it's fun!

What about anime? I swear, I can't stand the stuff, but I don't deny that there's probably some appeal hidden to me that causes other people to enjoy it. While my gut reaction is that these people are "sad," intellectually I acknowledge that I probably don't know enough about it to draw any sort of informed

Such labels exist simply to reenforce the feeling of community such fans experience with one another. Others can reject such titles for several reasons. They can not like the title but still be interested in the community, or they could be indifferent about the title and not be interested in the community.

I presume that you hold similar attitudes towards girls that are interested in more "boyish" things, like horror videogames. Having interests outside of those normal with the group you belong to is evidence of a disorder and those people should be put down. We can't tolerate people developing their own ideas and

I don't think they can talk like serious adults. People who have such fears about childish things can never quite be considered "adult."

So... if I got the image of a lantern in the middle of a thick wooded area decal'd on my car, would that make me a pedophile? What about Calvin and Hobbes?

OK, so from a purely scientific perspective, allow me to follow your logic.

Oh of course I'll be back for more. You people make me laugh.

Ahh, but sending a C&D letter is probably easier (and less expensive) than the process of having to prove that fan creation X doesn't harm your IP. I'm not a lawyer though, so I wouldn't know.

I wasn't implying that it was. All I did was list the original purposes of the lockscreen, and demonstrated how adding functionality is counter to those original intentions. What if you don't want audio controls on your lock screen, because you don't want accidental input interrupting your music playback? The same
