The anime will follow the game to a point but is doing a anime original story overall and is tying into Berseria (which is a prequel to Zestiria). This weekends episode, for example, is actually going to deal entirely with Berseria.

You’ll really be amazed how fast Cata goes by now. I usually hit 85 in Hyjal alone. You aren’t using Heirlooms though so maybe you’ll get a little into Deepholm :p

It’s just due to scheduling. The manga isn’t a concern as the source is a novel (there are changes by Arakawa but she works with the anime).
