Requiring new teams to prove positive societal impacts seems like it was thrown in to make gatekeeping easier. Like a catch all morality clause in an employment contract.
It is okay to be ignorant; Jalopnik has already covered this with a fairly in depth discussion with the lead engineer. If you would like to have a conversation with him and argue that it is a track focused model, be my guest...but I will take the lead engineer’s word for it:
Oh dear. That is even worse...they had to try to make it look so similar.
As a ‘90s baby, I would 1,000% prefer the e-ray to the Z06. I’ve zero need for a track focused car when the very track capable car will easily eclipse my limits (if i ever go to a track day) while being better on a public road.
Interestingly, though not surprisingly, there are A LOT of front end wrecks in those listings.
Technically I think it would be LEAFs, as the name of the car is LEAF, an acronym of ‘Leading, Environmentally Friendly, Affordable, Family Car’.
All of the ones you listed were compliance cars with many compromises. The LEAF and Bolt are really the only two that have been sold in the US so far.
I get that this is a common body line, but Ford really should have known that even though they get away with sharing doors on the Navigator and Expedition, they needed to differentiate a sedan more since they are a hard sell as is.
Honestly I think the many quirks of the rotary motor let it down.
Ah, good catch. It seem I missed when Traffic Jam Assist, TJA, became an industry term above adaptive cruise control, ACC.
You honestly believe Tesla would not pay a nominal fee to be able to say it is certified for full self driving that doesn’t require monitoring?
Honestly, BMW already nabbed the best name for this type of system (even if theirs is still level 2):
I went down the rabbit hole of reading about The Retail Equation a while back and all the data that they track. Like how too many returns at Home Depot could cause Best Buy to deny a return years later even though they “don’t share information about returns to other retailers”.
TVs (and most electronics) are now sold by serial number to prevent theft/return schemes. So returning TV A with TV B’s receipt would (probably) not work. You could (depending on your moral compass) probably get away with just swapping boxes as long as the S/N barcode is on a sticker on the box and not a cutout in the…
Well, it seems Jalops have spoken. Pittsburg Left it is.
I’ve always thought the Jersey Left was the practice of accelerating and turning left as quickly as possible when the light changes to green without a protected turn and just hoping to beat the oncoming traffic, thus greatly increasing the risk of a broadside crash.
Since this car does nothing for me, here is a comment from a typical buyer who is definitely a real customer being compensated for their time and also AI:
I am not sure how you read the comment I replied to and my response and somehow deduced I was talking about electricity.
