My personal policy is like this: if I’ve spent waaaay less than everyone else, I ask to pay for myself.

I’m a hospital doctor. There’s little I enjoy more than crossing off incorrect allergies. As long as the patient gives me a good reason and seems to have capacity to tell me this (so for example I wouldn’t remove allergies from the record of someone in acute psychosis) I would always do it.
