Mercedes is literally marketing their stage 2 cruise control as autonomous and I’ve seen only one article about that. This Tesla thing is overblown.

Except it is - it draws its name from aeronautics and it’s the same concept - it’s an aid, but still requires pilot attention. Same here.
By CR’s logic, “cruise control” should mean the car is in control as it cruises. That does not mean I can go plop my feet on the dash while on the interstate. You are right that drivers still bear the ultimate responsibility of being in control of the car.

This is just becoming ridiculous! I highly doubt there is an issue with Autopilot. I strongly feel the issue lies with the drivers inappropriately using the feature.
