I watch that one every Christmas! Both because it’s a great Christmas movie, and just one of my favorite LA movies.

I have long advocated for technology that allows a person to unsend emails and texts. Why is this still not possible?

I refuse to even click the link to the Refinery29 post, because I can easily see it making me rage very quickly.

Yeah, I’ve been in my business (books) for 10 years now, and I’m still making less than the intern penning this post (and I live in LA, and I pay rent). I mean, good for her? But my job doesn’t give me free food, either.

Both are frightening in their own ways, I suppose, but I love both in part because of what might make them terrifying to people. I fucking LOVE space, and I love the ocean. And I drowned in the ocean at 13! (As in: out of body experience, underwater for minutes, blacked out, was dragged out and resuscitated by a

I can see your point, even if don’t agree on the whole. Also, The Hurt Locker was 10 years ago. I remember finding him very good in that, and then wondering what happened to that Jeremy Renner, because I haven’t seen a trace of that skill in carrying a role from him since.

Could be! I’ve never seen him on that, but there are definitely actors who seem to just not cross over well from one to the other, for whatever reason.

I’m just as entitled to my dislike of him as you are to liking him in whatever role! He’s a millionaire; I’m sure he’s fine whether I like him or not.

This is a really good joke, and I’m going to remember it.

I haven’t been following the Marvel universe since Iron Man 3 (just too much to keep up with for me, and I was never very invested), but he always struck me as slightly shoehorned in where he did appear, and I wonder if you might be onto something there. I mean, it wouldn’t shock me, I guess is what I’m saying. Living

I loved that, too. Mid-movie course correction!

I agree with every sentence of this, so it’s nice to hear I’m not alone in my little corner over here.

One of my favorite recent-ish Hollywood trends is that they’ve now tried (and failed) to interest audiences in Jeremy Renner (at least potentially) taking the reigns of two separate action franchises — this one and the Bourne films — and neither effort worked in the slightest. He wasn’t in M:I 5 much, either, which

Oh man, I wish I could give you more than one star just for B. Traven alone.

Welcome back to LA! And best of luck on the interview!

...and this is the point at which, for me and many other people, any benefit of the doubt we’d been willing to give Musk broke.

Yeah, sadly, no one wants to pay editors anymore, even though they’re one of the most crucial parts of bringing a book (I mean, one not riddled with errors) to press. It’s depressing.

I mean, I think that would be great.

“She took her phone out; started taking pictures, filming doing whatever she was doing ... So I got out the car, I started filming her as soon as I start filming her [she started screaming], ‘What are you doing?’ Leave me alone! I’m feeling threatened. Help! Help!’ It was one of those,” Phillips explained.

Tarantino’s indie theater, the New Beverly, does some great ones here in LA!
