I am EXTREMELY ENVIOUS of your cast iron tub, just so you know. (And Lorde’s, purely for size alone.)

You’re already one of my favorite commenters, but from now on I just know I’m going to hear everything out of Tatum’s mouth (I’ve never understood his appeal either, I think of him as a large, square-shaped potato) in Patrick’s voice, and I love you a little more just for that. Just so you know.

I feel you re: Handmaid’s Tale. So many people (interestingly enough, all dudes) have told me I just HAVE TO watch it, and while I understand that... I had a rough enough time when I first read it, back in high school. I loved the book, but it was such a terrifying thing to encounter. I wasn’t even sexually active

Whether this is an MJ song title reference joke, or just simply Peter Gabriel-loving solidarity (whynotboth.gif), either way, I am happy.

I am very glad not to be! And a very understandable conundrum. Wading through the comments here has already been fun, but it’s borderline overwhelming! So much good music.

Super late, so no one will see this! But what the hell.

The Lamb is still my favorite prog album of all time. Take your star, from a fellow nerd.

“Runway Runaway” is honestly one of my favorite late-era Duran Duran songs. That album is super solid.

When asked if traffic has been affected by the boycott, a Weekly editor did not respond.

Oh Christ, so they’re like legally trained versions of the “screenwriters” and “producers” who do this in the doorway of my bookstore, I am SO sorry

She does sometimes, though? I mean, I don’t know about now, or how often, but she was a semi-regular at my old bookshop (for all I know she still is, I don’t work in West Hollywood anymore), and every time I saw her, she came in with a stunning, humongous natural. (Also usually in one of those matching velour track

Uuuuuugh. I found The Interestings to be insufferable enough (also, talk about an unintentionally hilarious misnomer: NO ONE in that book is remotely interesting), and this sounds, somehow, even worse. Hard pass!

Thanks for mentioning The Street! The shop I work at has started hosting a David Bowie book club, sort of reading along (when the books are gettable) with the titles his son Duncan Jones has been picking out from Bowie’s 100 favorite books, and this one is our read for March. I need to actually get around to it myself!

This is a good comment all around, but bless you in particular for including this bit at the end:

I’ve been to that library! A few years ago? I think it was relatively newly completed at the time, too! (Also, LOL I just... love this comment a lot, just so you know.)

So true.

I graduated from a top CA state public high school back in ‘04 with a 4.3 weighted GPA (meaning that AP classes I took during high school were factored in, which is usually what raises any GPA over a 4.0). I’m guessing it still works pretty much the same way now.

This is so spot-on it’s almost scary.

Good lord.
