We’ll definitely have to disagree there as well, but fair enough!

Astronauts are not pieces of pork to be ferried around, and the work they do in space is not at all negligible (which are both things that your own quoted comment directly implies), so no, sorry, I am not going to agree with you.

Yeah, I see a lot of claims like that, and it just makes me laugh. Having a ton of money =/= knowing what to do with it, or even if you do, how best to implement its use. Very rarely does it go where it should. So I agree, he’s potentially quite a dangerous figure, and all the boot licking of him as a public figure

And you can’t disagree with my characterization of NASA’s launch system development since Apollo, because it was 100% factual.

Also, news flash: scientific knowledge is, by its very nature — and so far as any progress whatsoever is concerned, ever — cumulative. Work is done, discoveries are made, and they build on themselves in order to pave the way for more work and discoveries, and so on. That is pretty much the very definition of

When asked who he felt was threatening his First Amendment rights, he said “anybody who doesn’t see the same points of view.”

I can’t possibly agree with you, in any way, on such a gross mischaracterization of all the work NASA has done since Apollo, so... agree to disagree, vehemently. The Falcon Heavy, again, is an inspiring project, purely from a scientific standpoint. Its private nature is what concerns me.

I love you for this analogy. More than you know. (I just really love Batman Returns.)

Though I can’t say that what he described sounds anything like what I’ve observed in the couple of epileptic people I’ve known (younger brother of my best friend growing up, and one of my current roommates actually), I’ll mention it, just in case! I imagine there are a lot more types of seizures to have than the ones

That’s interesting that you can feel it coming! (Though I’m sure that helps.) I’ve only passed out twice in my life — once due to heat stroke, as a kid, the other time due to sudden, unexpected blood loss and a bit of shock as a teen — but weirdly, both times, everything turned blue first for a few seconds, like

Interesting! (For the record, being in Switzerland, and stubborn about doing whatever he wants, I would not be at all shocked if my Dad was keeping to a similar diet, lol.) I’ll ask about having his electrolyte balance checked as well, though, thank you for mentioning that!

Even more impressive and amazing! Congratulations! I’m sure all that hard work paying off must feel amazing. :)

Yeah, I definitely want to press him on that somewhat. He’s always had the blood pressure issues (because of his undersized heart), but this seems to be the opposite (if his heart rate dropped and caused it, I mean) of what he’s usually dealing with...

This is all very informative and helpful, thank you very much for replying!

I’m not sure... some of what’s on there definitely seem to have been part of what he experienced, but other parts, either not or I’m less sure about. (This is the tricky part about being on the other side of the world, obviously! Also, my father’s first language not being English, sometimes he won’t know the English

Thank you for replying, and the input! (Sorry to hear about the fainting, though.)

I’m late to this this week, unfortunately, so not sure whether anyone who can respond will see this, but... medical question?

Honestly, just recognizing that my vastly improved overall mental health has equipped me to handle the less than ideal shit SO much better than I used to. I had some unexpected and unpleasant news hit this week, my period was a bit rough and my energy was low, and a couple other little things sort of crept up on me...

I’m so happy to hear you’re in a safer and such an improved situation, and are taking care of yourself and doing good things for your own pleasure and happiness. You should be super proud of yourself, I hope you are.
