Haha! I got my fake ID on 42nd Street on a HS trip to NYC. Ironically, it was after seeing 42nd Street on Broadway.

Thank you! When I saw this being pushed as a COVID-19 treatment, my first response was, isn’t oleander poisonous? Hasn’t anyone seen the movie Dragonwyck?!
Yep!
Vanity Fair has an article about it - it was a puppet that looked like him that was used on a tv show. Definitely WTF.
If they could brink back workhouses, they would.
My Mom saved her charge card from Bonwit Teller. I think she also still has a few pages remaining in a Bonwit notepad. Both with the violets, of course!
I am jealous! I wanted to see them on that tour (and the Police) but was not allowed to go. Had to wait until the Talk Show tour in 1984 - with INXS as the opener. Still a great show! (The 2013 reunion show... not so much.)
So good to see that avatar again! (And of course your comments.)
Most Gen X-ers (1965-1980) couldn’t vote in 1984 and only those born 65-67 could in 1988; certainly not enough to compensate for the overwhelming numbers of Boomers. Jackson really messed up his chances with “Hymietown.”
I am a lawyer and twirl my hair. I probably did during the bar exam, too. Don’t let it stop you! (I can think of many other reasons not to be a lawyer, though ...)
Apparently, someone had that idea - good call!
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has called for the censure of Yoho. I hope that happens.
What do you have against Culture Club?
LOL -I just brought that one up - also, Fargo.
You haven’t seen Raising Arizona?!(Or The Piano, for that matter?)
Yes, unfortunately, they thought Hitler would save them from Stalin, but the Nazis viewed Slavs as subhuman. And agreed - Nazis and Neo Nazis are bad.
Not going to reply to this asshole because I don’t want him out of the grays, but someone just replied to me that “Really? Because my father was a raging alcoholic and the only physical abuse suffered was at the hands of my mother.” Yeah, jackass, it did really happen, and I said “in my experience.” Sheesh! And people…
Yup - increased drug and alcohol abuse tends to make a person more violent. At least that was my experience with my ex-husband. He had some scary episodes with his temper early on, but they were nothing like what happened after he started mixing copious amounts of booze and drugs.
I was about to say Lupita Nyong’o on the cover of Vanity Fair, but just checked - shot in a wooded setting.
Already starred you for the comment when I noticed your username. That is one of my favorite episodes of It’s Always Sunny!
