This is exceptionally good, although I would have enjoyed one or two similes or metaphors that don't fit with describing socks at all (i.e. "These socks have all the trepidation of a post-wedding after party in Poughkeepsie" or something). And even that's just personal preference. A+.

I had that same exact thought. Because I'm also 31 and I was wondering how different things could have been for me had I been knocking up ladies all around the clock at age 17 (and that's just assuming his daughter is a freshman). Lucky for me I had The Simarillion and Super Nintendo emulators to keep me abstinent.
